Im 1,000% sure this is the best one. As long you install correctly you will be fine. You will instantly notice how fast Protools loads up when you open it the first time after installing! Even during my sessions, loading a plugin, etc its reacts faster! I love it. No ilok error, strip silence works like a charm!

Dont go to Lion until Avid gives the green light.(your own risk..)
If you decide to try Lion with it, I recommend creating a new partition for it. That way you can delete it if you dont want it and still have your Snow Leopard.

What machine you are using? MP or MBP?

Actually, I'm not the one to install successfully.

I think I will clean up my system drive and start from ground. Before to do this, I just want to make sure my MBP 2011 is able to run and install this version!
Honesty, I craving for PT9 for a very long time.

One more thing to share with everyone, I 'm pretty sure PT9 (no matter what version are..... up to right now!)
It is impossible to run and install on Lion (due to 64 bit system) and PT9 is still in 32bit. And it doesn't something like a 32bit bridge are existed in somewhere that let you are able to run PT9 in Lion or something is more than a bridge needed . So, please wait!

Im not having any problems

Pro Tools 9 WILL NOT run on Lion (not even legit versions of PT9)This is due to sheer none compatibility not because of the 64bit OS. I'm sure a future release of PT will support Lion. 32bit programs can run on 64bit OS, you just won't be able to access more than 4 gigs of ram. Question is, when will Avid (and Waves) get with the program and release 64bit programs!??

I like to think of it like this...

You have a 32 bit Playstation video game...(Pro Tools)
You have a 64 bit Playstation console...(Mac or Pc)

If you play the video game on the console, does that now make the video game 64 bit now?

Even though though the 32 bit game may WORK in the 64 bit console, doesn't mean the architecture/build of the game has changed to be 64 bit...Its just "functional"

A "64 bit Pro Tools" will be not only "functional" but "operational"...it will give you the perks of a 64 bit cpu can offer. Which happens to be an admission to 8 gigs of Ram power!! (more plugins, effects, etc..)

Lion and Snow Leopard is 64 bit. I think the only difference is Snow Leopard defaults in 32 bit mode, while Lion boots in 64 bit. (I could be wrong on that..)

Anyone found ProTools HD 9.5 or 9.6 updated fixed for OSX Lion? I have 9.5 regular but would like to get to HD if possible. Please post if you happen to have a crack of it.

OK, found the Toolkit inside the disc image... used that one. All goes well with install until the final stage: the 9.03 HD [k] doesn't work now... the app won't open after the [k] is applied.

I had this working for several weeks in OSX 10.6.8... but I had to do a complete reformat and reinstall of Snow Leopard. All of my other app are installing fine, but for some reason PT 9.03 won't work like before.

Anyone else have similar experience or advice?

Hi guys!! Ive great problem. I had Installed an alphatrack controller and its dont work with protools 9.03 (fatal error and not comunicate with HUI) but in prootools 8 it work fine.Someone tell me something .... thanks.
