You need a previous installation to install this update.

i dont get it why NI does this?
i mean the update is the same size as the original installer, it makes absolutely no sense. why not no just release every installer as not an update? (no benefits.) or its just tactic to get people to buy it?!

I'm on Mac OS 10.11.2

I installed the 1.3.2 version

then applied the update, copied the files over, and I cannot open the application - get an error message "The application FM8 cannot be opened"

any ideas?

im n windows 10 and this installs the dll fine but there is no database installed. yes it installs the plug in but i had to drag all the KDS from the the 1,O.4 complete installation disc and batch convert, now i have a library. also noticed there is no uninstaller in program setting /uninstall. odd

what the heck?.. The zip unpacks right away and there is nothing but an Update installer.

EDIT: I dl'd the bottom mirror... and it is different than the first peeplink that is purple... this one had the info.txt etc.

help, the 3rd step has a problem: "3. Run "FM8_141U_Mac.dmg" to install the update." , it shows " failure, no previous version found"

*TIP/TRICK FOR INSTALLING V1.4.1 WITH SOUNDS (CATALINA 10.15.6)*

For me FM8 will install with empty Sounds folder (therefore no instruments etc)
Install v1.3.2 first (installation error occurs)
Install v1.4.1 second. If it wont let you due to no previous version than install v1.4.1 from the Komplete 12 Ultimate Collection!

I think it's easier to install the demo from the NI site and replace the AU/VST with the cracked ones included in this release. Works for me (so far).

Furthermore, I can confirm that on Catalina 10.15.7:
v1.3.2 gives an installation error (but does install most parts so it seems)
v1.4.1U won't let you install due to no previous version installed

But to be honest, I don't really like this synth
I'm an orange critter from Arcade with a large nose (but I don't lie!).
