We took a journey back to the Golden Age of magnetic tape recording. We wanted to recreate all kinds of tape machines in software, from the ground up. After many months spent on research, measurement and on developing an architecture that would be flexible enough for the job, we knew we had nailed it...

But we couldn't stop there: We added the old noise-reduction systems that were often (mis)used for timbral compression effects. Then more heads and a global feedback path, which made an uber-tape-delay and realistic 'one-shot' tape flanging possible.

Users familiar with analogue recording gear should instantly feel at home with Satin, and digital afficionados will also learn to love the magic of tape – Satin invites you to explore and find out for yourself.

But I have a fear that the check on the demo mode string is checksummed somewhere else too,
so maybe better not to touch it. One can always edit "mode" (only "demo" word is checked)
to gone!, resulting in "demo gone!"...

Yes v1.02 works very good! No time-bombs, not even the "damned" Demo message. It was released before U-he planted that extra byte-code in their garden.

Indeed, especially for the (long time neglected) MAC–Community.
What a pity though that in the meantime many of the best developers have saddled up with complicated, sophisticated copy protections. So it will maybe take years until the best goodies get finally unlocked……but till then those will already be old.

The plugin seems to be workin ok... only question,, does anyone know how to use groups in ableton 9,,, nothing seems to make sense about that,, and there's no helpful info I've found in their manual or you-tube,, etc... help!
