You're not exactly flowing in OSX releases these days so if I were you I would act with respect towards those that provide for you. Let's stop playing games and make the site private. If it's cost of operations I will make another 20 projects that will get you the traffic to make it up and you know I can make it happen. We can focus on giving people the best experience possible rather than deal with the ingrate masses. It's not worth it...they're not worth it.

It's a great shame that a small minority are so ungrateful and negative. I know myself and i'm sure 95% of the users here are massively grateful for the use of this site and all the work that you and all of the up loaders do here.
I love this site, the way it's laid out and the amazing plug-ins and packs and multi tracks etc and it's a privilege to use it.
Thanks to all that put in the work- it makes my music making even more enjoyable!

Yes it is a great shame and unfortunately it's the ungrateful ones that are the most vocal so though it may really not be the case that they're the majority it's mostly what we deal with every time we sign on. Interestingly they're also the ones that never contribute. It's affecting a lot because it's not just me but the rest of the staff (on both sites), the uploaders and others are really fed up with it and it's negatively impacting the end user experience in many ways. I will never understand how in a place where so much is given how people can act the way they do, it's just not my way. I work here and I always express my gratitude whether it be to the teams, staff, uploaders, suppliers or members. In fact I've talked to a lot of admins that closed shop over this exact problem. Nobody wants to work their ass off, make tons of sacrifices and especially for free and come in and read some of the ridiculous comments that we get. Thanks for being appreciative, it's a rare case that makes the long hours of hard work worth it.

Actually i think that's a reasonable option.
Also good the idea of going private. Surely would make the site more safe, also regarding impostors (like the dead "The Messenger") who try to fool and provoke people. I would implement a security system that helps to trace and track down those brain damaged subjects.

That's what I'll end up doing: inventing some anti-troll system, turn around, sell it and become rich. Then I'll cover the operating costs of this site, share the wealth so SAiNT and some other cool peeps can have a comfortable life. Hm, I believe you're in some way stuck in the past…
What i now notice is that the flood of cracks of the last decade has spoiled many people, because they're now used to it to get working cracks "en masse" they're intolerant and grumpy versus releasers of more or less faulty cracks. Though they cannot express their frustrations and anger against scene release teams because they're silently hiding. Indeed they fear prosecution and punishment by the law.
