Native Instruments Supercharger GT v1.1.2 Mac OSX screenshot
R2R | 26.2.2014 | 52.21 MB
SUPERCHARGER GT takes the sound of modern tube compression even further with superior control, additional saturation, and sonic sculpting.

POWER ON OVERDRIVE

SUPERCHARGER GT injects white-hot tube compression into anything it touches. Easily sculpt your tracks with rich, harmonically-driven sound. Loaded with additional saturation and character controls for detailed tweaking, SUPERCHARGER GT goes beyond compression to shift your inspiration into overdrive.

BEYOND COMPRESSION

SUPERCHARGER GT delivers more than just rich tube compression. New saturation types give you three ways to turn up the heat.

Use Mild, Crisp, and Slam modes to enliven tracks with anything from subtle harmonic enhancement to scorching, raw attitude. Fat, Warm, and Aggressive character modes fill in missing low end and smooth out unruly high frequencies with the turn of a single knob.

FINE-TUNED CONTROL

SUPERCHARGER GT keeps you in the sweet spot with creative controls. Automatic make-up gain keeps you focused on the sound of the effect. Choose from popular Attack and Release settings. Dedicated response controls let you fine tune to perfection.

Mid/side mode lets you carve out space in your mix. And the detector high pass prevents unruly low end signals in the sidechain from mis-triggering the compressor.

Even when I've put up benchmarks that PCs are better for music production?

I just don't like when people make statements that are based on no fact whatsoever and I feel the need to dispel these myths. People act like PCs are a toy or something.

Haha Dude!
The most Macboys probably didn't understand your fine sarcasm! At least I had to read it twice.
Love it!!
Hey man! Did you know? Avid is the future with its phenomenally compatible, absolutely super duper pro downward compatible, every plugin format eating, perfectly automation integrating DAW "Pro Fools". It's so pro, it blows my amateur Pc-S1 always perfectly satisfied, never growling soul. I wish I would have to do never stopping, time consuming professional workarounds every f**king day!!

I Love my Mac! As most Mac Owners do! And Yes! I can't wait to buy the new beautiful Mac Pro!!

That being stated, the fact of the matter is whether you own Mac or PC it is a personal preference just like those who (like myself) Love Fender guitars and would never buy a Gibson (way to heavy and bulky!). (actually I did buy the White Arctic deluxe and sold it back to GC).
So know matter how much either side likes to bash the other it will always be a moot point not worth flaming over.

Peace and love!

Oh i play on Fenders Gibson Ibanez ESP Music Man hell whatever i can play on.
As long as it intonates well i can play on it.
I have tried to play on gadget guitars that never will be in tune and i can even enjoy that but not so much :)
B.t.w i have PC and Mac but i like my PC more than my Mac which i find very overrated.

The new Mac Pro is a joke! And far from a professional tool for music creation.
If you're looking to play around with Garage Band -inside the the Apple's Garbage Can.. go ahead! But we - the professional guys inside the recording studios DON'T TOUCH this crap!!
Apple has failed its costumers for a long time now, especially after coming out with that black garbage can. But - They had a rocking sales of the previous, great Mac Pro, just before the end!

"But we - the professional guys inside the recording studios DON'T TOUCH this crap!!"

- So professional that you're on here, getting cracked software? Do me a favour. If you're working out of a pro-studio, you'd be using pro hardware, since everything us non-pros use is pretty much an emulation of hardware.

And put a shirt on. No one wants to see your chest.

Now that's been said, I had a pc for years, thought it was fine. Moved onto Linux, infinitely faster but audio wise not compatible enough. Rocking the Mac now and I'd never return to Windows again, but I would and probably will return to Linux. People will use whats works best for them and within their price range. In Macs defence I haven't come across a "purchased" PC that uses the quality of parts that Mac do. I hope you stay on Windows. The more people that do, the less us Mac guys have to fear over the security issues that you do.

Mac vs PC never gets stale. Just expect it. We as musicians get so involved in how we make music, and what we use to make music. So when that particular tool is attacked or berated, it feels like that person it talking about US personally.

Whatever works for YOU is best.

Well said. I often believe people are just repeating misconceptions and it's mostly that that bothers me. If someone wants to use a Mac who am I to say different? In the end I'm not the one that has to use it. It's when we get to "I wouldn't use a PC", "PCs are less secure", etc. that I feel I have to bring some fact into the equation.

Understood. Some people enjoy arguing for a cause/thing they really don't thoroughly understand, which can be annoying. However, it will continuously happen.

Catalyst, your lucky you're an Oustanding guy! Still , I feel ya...There's so many things I wanna say about PC's and the Window Software that I hate, but...I know just like 499 stated
what we use to make music and compute is really personal.

Again, no side will ever be right or win.

Still, I have learned to appreciate everyones differences.

Thanks man. I'm not even trying to prove anything I'm actually enjoying the conversation. I could say the same thing: my ex had a Mac and I couldn't stand it, it worked anything but intuitive for me. Have you used Windows recently? What was the last version? What put you off about it? Honestly since I got this new system I haven't even had that many system maintenance tasks, it just works. I just installed and set up some software, same as I would do on a Mac.

I use both PC and Mac. An Applefanboy mate of mine talked me into getting an iMac for music production, he couldn't say a bad word against them.

So I was quite surprised when it crashed about 5 times in the first week, the 27" screen IMO is shite because to get the DAW font the right size it fucks up the resolution and looks blurred. Not to mention the total lack of suitable screening inside the iMac to prevent ground loops, hum (from audio monitors etc) that I've only recently managed to fix. 'Once you go Mac you dont go back?'....hmnnn....not so sure about that. But it does the job...bloody should do at that price!

Yeah that happened to me too on my Mac Pro and with the OS that those fanboys say is suppose to be the most stable there is for music making 10.6.8
So much far those fanboys words ;)
But now it havent crashed for a week or so but then i only use it for internet nowadays.

I actually own a PC Laptop, lol. On it is Windows 8. I never liked the look of the actually "windows" format. Like when it opens the windows with Apps and such. Kinda looks too mechanical. Stiff. But my main issues for me have been the viruses and crashes, slow response in programs vs my my Mac's speed and reliability. Funny thing is when I look at the eye candy (which sometimes draws me to Programs) of Apps, Windows Programs (for me) leaves me with blurred vision. Mac is much friendlier (to me).

I'm a very technical guy, but when creating I like it simple so the app gets out my way. And it doesn't hurt if it looks Sexy too! lol.

Things are changing, I mostly use Computers for my music, but that is my experience and I started using computers in '85, got Digidesign's Sound Tools in (89'), Atari notator 89 (C-lab) , Emagic logic 93 and so on. Ya know Catalyst, things I guess are different depending on one's surroundings, influences. That is how I first started. Still I love this all! And enjoy the conversation as well!

Thanks for asking. Peace!
