because uad needs their own external gear to run, and slate digital is ilok protected. i have all steven slate and kush audio and they rock. if you really need it i really recommend buying them, they're perfectly worth it.

UAD Plugins are proprietary software that only run in universal audio hardware Like there Apollo interface and PCIe Cards i'm thinkung thats why you don't see them and nothing ILoK ether maybe one day'' the Guy that figure's out ILoK2 is going to be the Man

Many of the UAD pluins upsample to a higher samplerates on the card and then downsample before leaving the card. Does it matter? Well some will say it does!
