Not fixed as far as Pro Tools is concerned! Still crashes on OSX 10.8.2 and Pro Tools 10.3.3. Bombs on loading the Waveshell-DAE 9.2 dpm :(

I have done a clean install of Waves 9 + Element and used only the WavesReg 9.2 and all is working fine in PT 10.3.3
tested with ProTools 10 HD 10.3.3 (OSX 10.7.5) wink

No! Don't work in Pro Tools(10.3.2+ latest ML).
Uninstalled all Waves files folders and prefs.
Repair permissions, reboot.
Reinstalled in this order: 9r5 then NS1 then REDD then Element.
Freezes or crashes Pro Tools after Element GUI shows up.
But it works fine with VST/AU. That should satisfy the most i guess!

Jim Beam
It works for you because you don't have REDD in your system!
I could force it to work in PT even with previous release, by kicking out REDD.

It seems Xdb had not tested with PT. They sure fixed AU/VST, but not RTAS!

lyric8,
You can just run the REDD installer. It will replace the faulty 9.2 components as well as kick out Element nice and easy.

REDD keeps but Element freezes PT in 9.0.6 on OSX 10.7.5
Granted I haven't done clean waves install but not sure if it's worth it.
Trust, but verify.

Thank you, Kookaboo!

Way to be a boss! wink

audjob,

It's not just Waves... 10.7.(X) is FULL of nothing BUT issues... Its simply the worst release they've ever stamped their name on. To save and spare yourself the trouble in the future, personally I'd go back to Snow Leo

Well I'm on 10.8.2 here and haven't experienced any other issues except with these 2 Element releases by Xdb.

ixichayden, -- I have REDD, NS1 and Element at the same time installed.
PT10 HD (original not cracked version 10.3.3) on OSX 10.7.5

I have cleaned all pref, installed Waves 9r5, installed NS1, REDD and Element, repaired permissions, rebooted and everything is working fine.

Kookaboo, you're amazing! Thank you so much.

I have some questions regarding the waves plug-ins.
I am using the latest version of Logic Pro on OSX Mountian Lion.

How do you do the clean install? Is all you need the funtime release of v9r5, or do you need some older release of waves? And is there any manual installation guide? I prefere to manually install my plug-ins by using packifist.

Cheers, APII

Jim Beam, standalone and whoever.
I thought I'd give it another try, and made it work yes
It's easy: Trash the waveshell dae 9.1 in plugins folder. The 9.2 is obviously able to load the 9.1's.
You may have to trash the waves prefs in your local library folder as well.
Maybe it works for VST as well.

Hey guys, I have found something interesting here. I am using the Dynamics 9r1 and 9r3 update and I never installed NS-1 because it didn't pass validation in Logic. I did not use xdb REDD I used Horsemens release cuz people were saying the xdb screwed up all their other plugs or something. That is the only thing I can think of thats different from some of the others here. Element did crash Pro Tools 10 on startup but as far as AU goes my REDD plugs and Element have both worked fine together, and I'm talking about the original Element release, I haven't even installed this one yet, but I'm going to see what happens when I do.

Any Thoughts??

I'd like to have NS-1, and the Redd 17 doesnt work in 64 bit on horsemens release, so I'm trying to figure out what's the weak link
