@Crappy, the 9.0.4 share does work. It's pretty much 9.0.3 with only a few minor changes (some are just cosmetic version changes) for Macbookpro8,3 with thunderbolt so it will recognize hd native cards in a magma chassis. Probably a pointless update for any user using a k'd version, however, due to the fact that anyone with the money for a magma chassis, macbookpro8,3 and an hd native card probably has a legit copy of PT. :P

It works, nonetheless.

There is a reason why protools and macs are the standard... they just work better i hackintoshed all my old useless pc and now they are at least worth turning on. u fools keep thinking that nuendo and logic will cut it then when u get to the major labels u will spend lots of time stemming those sessions from other daws.

use your LOGIC to make some noises hehehe
rather than stuck to pro tools (they said so)

But I find Pro Tools very unattractive compared to Logic... PT is very professional in terms of boringness

9.0.4 isn't as stable as 9.0.2. This the one that should be upped for those who still don't have it. The only new gen Pro Tools for Windows users is 7.4 without iLok but you need M-Audio hardware, very cheap these days.

9.0.4 works but fails big time.

This release is just as stable as 9.0.2... same caveat with the plugins list disappearing after a random amount of time. Sometimes minutes, sometimes hours.

The day Logic can match PT's audio editing capabilities and navigation via key commands is the day I give up on PT completely. Until then, I'll keep using Logic to create and PT to edit and mix.

And if people even knew the full capabilities/tools that are hidden under the hood of PT they wouldn't even dare criticizing it.
like your point, t's true. the way I see it, logic is a musicians tool to record or create their song/demos. PT is for the pro user engineer.

Plus seeing how things are going on over at Apple, I dont tink we'll see a Logic pro X anytime soon.

There is no Pc Version, lass one was Le 8.5 for Pc ! So use that, until you buy a Mac

What do you think about. Ableton Live. I used Fruity Loops, Cubase 5 and last i landed on Ableton Live. And i love it. I saw some tutorials of Logic, Sonar X1 and ProTools but dont know why, Ableton Live seems not so complicated and u can instanly be creative. From what i have seen is, that u dont need nothing than Ableton Live. You can do everything with it with ease. Or am I wrong? What is your experience?

U can't compare cracked PT with cracked Logic Pro...and the interface of PT is like a shit :)

Its a matter of taste, Protools is more for sound engineers, I think midi sucks a bit, I prefer Cubase, Logic is: I dont know the word in english troublesome? I dont get it with Logic Iv been working with PC and turn to Mac a year ago, Macosx is better and more stable than windows. I use Cubase AI5 for sequences and Protools 10 to record and mix.

Stability of Apple computers derive of their unity. They all have the same hardware inside unlike Windows or Linux PCs in which u have x-mutations/-configurations (CPU/Graphiccards/OPSytems and their versions, soundcards etc.) But if u have some tweaking affinity u can get also stability on PCs. If u want to have a Pc/Laptop only for making music, you have to deinstall all Programms, which are unnecessary. By tweaking the registry, deinstlling/and installing software, configurating the backgraound programs u get a overall understanding of how your PC behaves. And so you have the ability to repair your PC yourself without giving out lots of money to Apple for repairs. For the same performance on Apple computer you have to pay on average 2-3 times more for it.

So dont be mad about what i am saying but the truth is that Apple is for people who dont and who do not want to understand how a computer works. Maybe they have no interest or they have more important thigs to do. e.g. watching/playing Desperate Housewifes or something else :DD. Just kidding. But everything has its buyers. For me i am into computers since 84. An so i could follow the development in that field. Meanwhile i can say, i would never buy an Apple, because for me it is not so hard to configure/tweak my Win-PC to get the maximum of it. So why should i give out lots of money I even do not have. Maybe I am used to Windows. But I dont want do discriminate anyone. But when I see someone wit an Apple Product, I can definetly say, that this person has not so much PC-knowledge. So, for me these people are NOT cool, although they think like that. Giving out tons of money because of lack of a littlebit tech-knowledge (which is deinfetly not so much to tweak a PC) shows something. But while Im writing these lines i see how stupid I sound. Maybe its all individual and I am the fool who has to much time to write something although I could do something usefull. Maybe eating an Apple :D

and THAT is why you build a hackintosh. You even get to learn along the way. ;)

never this kind of judgement about pro tools will be made by professionals,in concret reality,its an evidence,pro tools is incomparably superior than any others daw for wanted optimums results in production.

someone who work on a pro tools hd based system know precisely how much this kind of discussion has strictly no one interest.
in fact.automatically,persons who affirm that, do so for some reasons totally differents much more personals than concretes;its not the primary optimum professionals results goal here,their judgement is much based on some reasons like the price is too expensive,or cause they had an impression , at their friend home studio of the protools interface is less beautiful than the daw they own and use ..

logic for creative reasons influences preference in certains cases is possible,but its not concern the best daw with concretes technicals reasons,but the way to work with her creativity on a daw

since I've switched on a pro tools based system after years of sonar x1,cubase,and logic too.

to remember the past on my olds daws before to work on a hd pro tools system, just let me now the unique impression of a past prehistoric period ...
