i'm glad to here that ether people are not cot up in the myth that protools is the best Daw and if you don't use protools you cant make a professional production i used protools years ago and thought it was crap then and switched to cubase and have bin using cubase ever sins but i have always bin a Mac user from day one and have herd good things about Logic i'm going to try it''' thanks big time for this

Have you ever tried Reaper??
I think its just a matter of time before this little bastard have beaten every Daw there is...And i am sure nobody beats the support you get if you buy Reaper

If you find a bug send it to the dev and they fix it a.s.a.p aka maybe a week or even next day now try that with another dev..

And when Samplitude is availible for Mac you might try that Daw
Its not much of what other Daw can do that Samplitude cant do and i belive the audio editor is one of the best.

If you head over to the reaper forums you will see many posts from me.
Now with OSC I am running VCA groups in Reaper. FUCK YOU PROTOOLS!!!

LOL sorry I don't want to use old shit we need a fresh start with a daw and Reaper is my GOTO daw because it is mine, from the interface, to the theme, to my own coded js plugins to my own OSC control dialogs. Reaper is my DAW!!! that is what makes Reaper a loaded train coming at the big boys out there.

Look at avid protools they had no choice but to get rid of the archaic hardware restrictions
No doubt feeling the pressure from Presonus, and Now Reaper.

What are the directions to update logic with the .dmg downloaded directly from the apple website? I have logic 9.0.0 and would love to try the latest version. I have 10.6.8 Mac OS X.

It took me a while to get used to, I started out with Fl studio. Quite different lol! Anyway, have been using this baby since a couple of years now, really awesome, simply the best DAW for me. Cool share :D

Okay, first of all I would like to say a huge thank you to you because it worked. Followed the instructions and everything went fine.

1. Install Logic
2. Install ALL Updates (including 9.1.7)
3. Copy the "ProApps System ID" and the "Logic Studio System ID" to Library/Application Support/ProApps
4. Hit Replace
5. RUN LOGIC =)

Now after that if you use Little Snitch you get a connection from Logic I clicked allow. Still works but I'm unsure if I should install the updates which are related to Mainstage, Waveburner because it does update the ProApps 2010. Now question is do you replace the ProApps stuff after updating or do you just leave it because you already done it. Let me know chief :)

I really like Logic because it is user friendly and sounds great. However I have to add my 2 cents b/c I am a protools man for it's speed. PT workflow is the fastest I have found granted I have not tried Reaper. Sounds interesting I will have to check it out. I have used Cubase, Logic, Sonar, Ableton and Pro Tools (won't count reason 6 lol) and although each program offers unique features, once you understand protools (and its quick keys) you become valuable to artists on a professional level. As for the VCA groups coolios,
the NLS plug-ins took care of that problem yes
