(granted, I only grabbed a "few", as I wasn't going Waves on my new system, but there have been a few instances where I did want a few things... so... GUSEPPE's painless patch dragged me back in.... ;) )

Installed Waves Ultimate 15.3 online.
Everything works perfect on Apple Silicon natively, except Cosmos as mentioned.
For Gemstones, it shows DEMO but works and if you log in, you can find more Gems (but quite small.)
And it doesn't require the Reg utility.

Sorry for the newb question but... Am I getting this right. I can just download Waves Central "Officially", Install what I want and just use this Patcher without having to download the waves bundle from AudioZ? If so... wow! Thank you!

Exactly. I just went to the Waves site, downloaded Waves Central as instructed, made an offline installer of the plugs that I wanted, downloaded it, I went offline, (not sure necessary but I always do with this stuff), installed it (honestly, the first time it said "install failed", and my customized installer failed, but I think that is because I was on my vpn, and Waves themselves say that can cause problems and to turn it off during the installer creation etc, but f'it, I left it on), but it worked the second time no problem.

Then just ran the great GUSEPPE patch, scanned my AU's, and boom, it was all there in my daw, and I checked most of what I had installed, and no problems.

I did block the Waves Central app and perhaps other related waves login items with Radio Silence and LuLu or whatnot, but I think that was as an overabundance of caution, as I have seen Team GUSEPPE say that wasn't a big deal iirc)....

It's great that Team GUSEPPE made it so you didn't have to dl 8-9 gigs or whatever from file lockers and kept this slick, svelte, and most importantly, painless and WORKS.

Thanks a lot man/ Appreciate it. One last question. Do I have to uninstall the previous version of waves that I have installed now.. or is it ok to just instal the new version over the old and just use the patcher? I've never had to use Little snitch or Radio Silence for waves but I'll probably do just because you mentioned it... LoL.

It is to my understanding that it works with previous versions, as some people still need v14 etc for StudioRack and whatnot, and I have read that it works just fine with both.. but @Lyric8 knows more about this, as they are in that subset, and I believe nuworldorder said it was just fine...

But I can't confirm personally as this was a 'virgin' waves install on my new system.

And re: LS/Lulu/RadioSilence etc, I just tend to do it... again, Team GUSEPPE has said not necessary, and I can always turn it off... but in my brief testing so far and monitoring it... it's been fine with it on, and I figure can't really hurt anything, unless of course GUSEPPE says it might... :)

note: I didn't apply those things until AFTER install etc.

I'm not quite sure personally how comfortable I would be using Studioverse or some of the other products being online with it patched etc, but hey, no one is saying not to, and people apparently are...
