This is what appears from the Toontrack parent site:

So the answer is yes, this software is INTEL and MAC ARM compatible.

Yes, I know this. I was asking whether the *patch*, is Intel, ARM, or both. Some patchers only bother with the Intel side, some are only interested in doing ARM, others properly patch both binaries. It's a bit of a crapshoot out there at this time in this regard.

If this update for example, is only patched for Intel, then installing it on ARM systems will break it (or vice versa). This is why it's important to note what architectures some has patched something for. Or if this is a true keygen that doesn't require modifying the binaries at all, perhaps it will work on both systems (and should be tagged as a U2B share in that case).

Without this info, it's difficult to know whether it's worth overwriting a working system or whether it will break something.

This is why I was asking for this info.

Answering my own question with information that might be useful for others:

This 1.1.5 version works ok here, so if you had problems with previous updates (like myself and some others did), this one seems ok to update to.

It is *Intel* only, and does not contain an Apple silicon native binary.

(Edit: Toontrack added a native binary in version 1.1.0 apparently, but I don't think this was ever patched and just crashed here on ARM.)

Weird, it works for me in m1 native on Monterey 12.6... opening AU in Logic and Ableton
y'all got anymore of those plugins??

However, it's not clear even from the Toontrack site if the plug-ins is compatible with ARM architecture in native mode or via Rosetta since this is not specified. The only way is to try ....

So it would seem that the previous version was already compatible with ARM architecture in native mode.

Yes, previous updates have had a native binary. They didn't work though in the patched versions - I'm guessing because the ARM binary was left unpatched.

The VR update here only contains an Intel binary. So either they've stripped it (because they didn't want to do an ARM patched version), or Toontrack have removed the binary since (which seems unlikely).

You can see why this is all confusing, and why clear messaging helps people make decisions on whether it's worth trying.

Anyway - this patch here is *Intel only*, and contains no ARM binary.
