Vienna Ensemble PRO is the ultimate symbiosis of systems and workflows, providing cross-platform MIDI and audio hosting over LAN, mixing in stereo and surround (up to 7.1) with full parameter automation and optional one-click integration of Vienna MIR PRO. Insert Vienna Ensemble PRO as a plug-in on any instrument track in your sequencer or DAW and use it as a mixing host for Vienna Instruments and all your third-party 64-bit and 32-bit VSTi/AU instruments and effect plug-ins (such as Spectrasonics, Native Instruments, Waves, you name it). The Preserve Instance function keeps all your plug-ins and settings loaded while switching to another cue, song, or project – a huge time saver! When used as a master-slave solution with multiple Macs and PCs you don’t need external MIDI and audio interfaces but a simple Ethernet cable.

As a Pro Tools user you may integrate your favorite AU and VST plug-ins in your sessions, and if you are working with Logic Pro X you may still use 32-bit plug-ins. What’s more, with the included Epic Orchestra you get a powerful all-in-one production tool to get you started right away!

Vienna Ensemble PRO comes with 3 licenses for setting up a multi-computer network. One license of the Epic Orchestra sample pack is included as well.     The Master does NOT require a dongle and this is not cracked. IMPORTANT: You can't run this as slave on a Mac.

    You can now run this as Master on a Mac to connect to a Windows slave running VSL Vienna Ensemble Pro 6.0.17011

    Just to make it clear, you need a slave PC to use this with your mac as master. I have v7 and use to work with 6, v6 is very usable.

    It's a common error message when you don't have the latest eLicencer Control Center installed.
    Also people on SB's site suggest to run Logic´s AU Validation manually, if you use Logic.

    Let's see if it helps in your case.

    So it is my understanding, you cannot use this solely in an OS X environment (i.e. saving setups for different daws or using vst/au's in PT), but requires a PC slaved to the mac?

    am I reading that right?

    if you run your DAW on your mac, you can use the plugin of this release on your mac to connect it with one or more slave windows PCs where you can have the k'ed version of VEP6.
    You can distribute the resources (CPU, RAM, disk usage) between more than one computer where the master is the mac where you create the music, the slaves are where you run some or all of the VSTi and VST plugins inside VEP.
    Before this option, you could only have Jeen's method, using a windows version of VEP and VST plugins through W.I.N.E. inside the mac.
    It is also an important solution for those who want to run stuff that you can't find for mac because there is only windows version of that.

    Thanks jazzz, yeah, I know some people who use it in just one mac as if they are scoring and whatnot with certain templates and sample libraries, it makes it so they don't have to reload everything every time they open up a different session/project etc which can be a nice time saver... and some others who use it in PT as a way to get around PT not being able to implement AU's or VST's... was wondering if THIS release could do THAT... as could be a big time saver....

    I have looked into it over the years, but never pulled the trigger as was expensive and I didn't need it as much as it cost.. :)

    but never thought to use it to run windows only plugs within OS X environment, duh.. great idea.. just wondering if it would work in a single mac running a single osx.

    you can also use this mac vst plugin of VEP6 with the windows version that you run in a virtual machine's windows on your single mac OS, but it needs powerful config, otherwise it will eat up your ram and CPU. Therefore the WINE method seems much better (except on Cataline, so far).

    freezing here with in Logic 10.4.8 (high sierra) when connect
    with WINE Vienna Ensemble Pro 6.0.17011- windows server

    PS: if you're on mac and want to use WINE you dont need server
    just run vienna 5or6 in WINE & JackosX on your mac & logic
    (jackosx is 32bit so not with catalina)

    Thanks for the share.. but I don't understand what's new about this release compared to "Vienna Ensemble Pro 6.0.17011" stills crashes and freezing using.. "VSL Vienna Ensemble Pro v6.0.17011 CE" when saving.. in logic for example.. with a windows sever..
