Overloud Vintage Keyboard FX v2.2.17 MacOSX FIXED-R2R screenshot
DATE : 2018.10.23 | NUMBER : R2R-7285| SiZE : 4.98 MB
PLATFORM : MacOSX - APP/AU/VST/RTAS

VKFX is a virtual rack packed with outstanding models of vintage analog effect processors, especially suited for keyboard players. It captures the sound of the original masters, which were often the key element in defining a classic instrument's unique 'voice'.

VKFX is a must for any keyboard player and for anyone who wants to add a vintage colour to the recordings! If you cannot get that kind of warmth from your sample library or your synthesizer, or even on a recorded track, VKFX enriches all your tones and allows you to recreate the sounds of countless records.

KEY FEATURES

- Highly CPU efficient coding and module layout means that users can load many instances of Overloud VKFX without the fear of watching a system's processor overload appear, in the certain knowledge that processing quality is first class.
- Simultaneous editing of all processors is available via a friendly and intuitive interface presented in the form of a rack of independent modules.
- Module order can be rearranged by simply dragging and dropping modules to where they're needed, giving users' fast and total control over the effects.
- All rates and times can be sync'd to the DAW, internally timed, or left independent for a more 'analog' approach.
- All parameters are automatable. All parameters can be assigned to MIDI controllers.
- A flexible file management system allows one, several or all modules to be loaded and saved - enabling easy mixing and matching of module presets saved from different sessions.

I used kg on a pc.. All the other overloud stuff worked but this didnt work, it just kept closing the kg. So I regenerated the request file again.. and when I go to get info from request file I left product as Breverb 2 or whatever the first option is and then generate licence. it should generate then go back to product and choose Kfx2 and generate again.. it should now work.

I had no problem generating keygen on El Capitan.
keysmac,
You probably switched network connections off. You need one connection active, either Wi-fi or Ethernet, at least connecting ethernet to a router, doesn't need to be connected to the internet (if you don't want to) but the connection needs to be active when you open the app to do the auth process. Of course, first you must block www.overloud.com in hostfile.

What you said is interesting, possibly I haven't understood you correctly, but I turned wifi off, wasn't connected to anything and there wasn't an issue with keygen or authorization.

After you have mentioned it I tried to test it again to see if I can get that error message that some others faced with.
I turned Wi-Fi off before opening the yet-unauthorized V.K. FX app but it still achieved my wifi MAC address when generated request file.
I don't know if it's because I didn't clean up the system from the related files of other Overloud programs or for other reason but it managed to find and used the MAC address of my last active connection.
So I don't have a clue what others did wrong.
Maybe... just maybe these users had Little Snitch blocking the app completely from the network?

Works fine here with Mac Sierra. (Crossover for Mac works fine with Keygen) . Tested with Logic X 10.4.2 and Ableton 10.0.4

1. Open the terminal app and get your Mac hardware address with this command

ifconfig en0

2. You may see something similar like this in the result

'ether 60:e5:40:0b:80:1a' (this example* address loads automagically into Keygen after you load the request ('request.or2) file generated by the plugin when you Authorize ("offline")

Change this example address to 60e5400b801a (by removing the colons - this is your hardware address if needed. You may not even need this for the Keygen)

3. Don't forget to block overloud site in your hosts file with this entry
127.0.0.1 www.overloud.com

4. Run the app or plugin and save the request file (*.or2) to your desktop. Load the request file into the Keygen.

5. Generate a license file (*.ol2) with Keygen and save to desktop. Drag the license file to the location directed by the app or plugin. Done.

Hope this helps

Your advice could cause problems. If the person connects via Wi-Fi and not ethernet, after your suggested terminal line, will get the wrong MAC address which states clearly in the last line:
"status: inactive"
in this case the person has to digit "ifconfig en1" in Terminal to see the Wi-Fi MAC address with the last line "status: active"
I think it's easier the steps with System preferences>Network and looking for the active connection that states "Connected".

And the generated license file that the keygen saves on Desktop is named "VKFX.ol2"

The earlier release of this did not work for me on Mac Sierra 10.12.6 but this fix definitely fixed it, worked like a charm in legit Live 10, Logic 10.4.2, Reaper 5.7, legit Reason 10 and Harrison Mixbus 32c 5. No aax to test legit Pro Tools 2018. Very big thanks to R2R!

@Jazz Re:"Your advice could cause problems. If the person connects via Wi-Fi and not ethernet, after your suggested terminal line, will get the wrong MAC address which states clearly in the last line:

1. This is false

2. WiFi MAC address is synonymous with Ethernet address (same same thing). A media access control address (MAC address) of a device is a unique identifier assigned to a network interface controller (NIC) for communications at the data link layer of a network segment. MAC addresses are used as a network address for most IEEE 802 network technologies, including Ethernet and Wi-Fi.

3. On the terminal prompt, type 'arp -a' to see your device designation ..such as 'en0', 'en1' etc.

4. With all due respect - this is not the place for sparring 'arp', 'MAC', 'Ifconfig' etc lingo - Google is your friend :)

"Every single communication adapter that is in a computer has a unique MAC address. Your computer has an Ethernet connection and a Wi-Fi connection, at least. (besides of Bluetooth etc.)
Each one has its own MAC address in order to identify it in the network. It's not your computer, it's the network adapter/interface that matters"

"**Each one has its own MAC address **"

Read my post more carefully - what is your disagreement again ? Did I write that NIC cards all have the same addresses? Of course not.

Here is what I wrote:

"2. WiFi MAC address is synonymous with Ethernet address (same same thing). A media access control address (MAC address) of a device is a unique identifier assigned to a network interface controller (NIC) for communications at the data link layer of a network segment. MAC addresses are used as a network address for most IEEE 802 network technologies, including Ethernet and Wi-Fi."

Emphasis* - "A media access control address (MAC address) of a device is a unique identifier assigned to a network interface controller (NIC) for communications at the data link layer of a network segment. " -

Nothing in the above says a computer cannot have multiple interface cards. The Keygen is looking for a default* hardware address --

Also, I wrote this

"2. You may see something similar like this in the result". ,,,Change this example address to 60e5400b801a (by removing the colons - this is your hardware address if needed. .."

Emphasis on the words "similar" and "example" -- I was aware of the fact that users may have different computer configurations. This is why I used the words "similar" and "example". Even the MAC address that I posted was fictitious.

We all know that modern computers can have multiple network (NIC) interfaces. That is not what I was writing about. I wrote that

1. Whatever hardware designation is returned by the combo terminal commands

arp -a

returning "en0" ("enx"..whatever..this is an example)

and

ifconfig en0

will give ..for example*, 60:e5:40:0b:80:1a

This MAC address will be the same returned by the Apple GUI @

Apple Menu --> System Preferences --> Network --> Hardware

You will get the same address i.e 60:e5:40:0b:80:1a

This is because these commands typically look for the default* hardware

My goal was to help with a question on a Keygen and how to obtain the proper MAC address for this* Keygen - not a fight.

I have used this technique for over a decade and never had a single problem.

If you like, please try the "arp -a" & "ifconfig en0" exercise above and prove me wrong.

Yes.. you are fighting..

arp -a demarcates and isolates the default ethernet hardware address if you know enough about computer networking and how the arp protocol works. You must know how tor read the results of "arp' in the terminal in order to follow my example.

You have not been able to prove me wrong...Saying continually that I am wrong without proving* this is bothersome.

Every computer has a default* hardware address. This is usually the first (e.g en0) ethernet address - not the wireless or any other secondary device address. And this is the default address that the Keygen is looking for. The Keygen may fail if you do not use this ethernet hardware address.

That is my point.

Again, type in the terminal commands that I suggested and prove me wrong.

Try using the ethernet versus wireless address to see which one works for the Keygen.

I won't bother responding anymore if you cannot prove* me wrong.

This comment is not a response to any one person in particular. I am just sharing general knowledge on Mac OS X network interfaces with actual citations from some expert groups.

I believe the two annexed URLs can help explain the BSD-based MacOS MAC address software and driver implementation, and how they differ from other unix-based operating systems such as Linux

1.
superuser

Questions:

1. "Can someone please explain ifconfig output in Mac OS X?"

Note-worthy answer.

"There hasn't been "the" IP interface since many years ago. All of them can have IPv4 and/or IPv6 configured and running. The default* (emphasis asterisk is my own) one to use is defined by the routing table (in particular the default or 0.0.0.0, ::/0 entry).

Stackoverflow

2. "Mac OS X why is wifi called en0 like ethernet?"

One particular expert response to a relevant question is worth quoting here.

"...why is it that my wireless card is also named after ethernet? – Hugo Apr 16 '14 at 18:25"

Response:
"In addition to the low level radio functionality provided by your 802.11 Wifi interface there is a built-in 802.3 Ethernet MAC since that is the primary frame format transferred over Wifi. The OS is not distinguishing this interface from the wired equivalent in its naming system. – Kevin Thibedeau "

"It's worth keeping in mind that OSX is not Linux, it is basically BSD. And in BSD network interfaces are named after the device driver that manages the interface, not necessarily based on the type of device. My guess is that the same driver supports both built-in WiFi interfaces and wired NICs on Apple computers."

You can list all interfaces using the command

networksetup -listallhardwareports
On my Macbook this lists a number of interfaces (WiFi, Bluetooth, Thunderbolt) and they are all named enX.

Please note how a Mac OS X WiFi interface has an address that is the same* as the computer's primary/default ethernet address in the example below.

At the MacOS Terminal prompt, type this.

networksetup -listallhardwareports

Hardware Port: Wi-Fi
Device: en0
Ethernet Address: 80:e6:50:0b:60:1a

Hardware Port: Bluetooth PAN
Device: en3
Ethernet Address: 80:e6:50:0b:60:1b

Hardware Port: Thunderbolt 1
Device: en1
Ethernet Address: 72:00:04:90:67:40

Hardware Port: Thunderbolt 2
Device: en2
Ethernet Address: 72:00:04:90:67:41

Hardware Port: Thunderbolt Bridge
Device: bridge0
Ethernet Address: 72:00:04:90:67:40
