hi folks,


i like to get some stuff legal which is ilok protected. but i can not buy all i use, so im still rely on some cracked plugs. mostly xvx stuff. are there known problems to run the legal ilok and warez together?

worst szenario: i buy some plugs and the ilok but they wont run as long as some warez are installed. you know what i mean...

jungletek, I'm from Greece! The country where the sarcasm borned. What do you think? Do I know or not about sarcasm? This looks to me like an attack more than a sarcasm.

mathh, I think that from here we have at first to help each other and then why not to make jokes or whatever.
Imagine yourself the next time you asking for an answer. Do you like people making the smart guys and write jokes and nobody gives you the answer you want?

Hi. I have a working iLok (ProTools + a few purchased plugs). I've experienced zero problems using the xvx kracks. The xvx plugs simply do not communicate with the iLok. The iLok keeps on working same as before with what you have registered.

Only problem I've seen is that (legit) updates to ProTools will discover some of the xvx RTAS/AS plugs and ask for registration. Shutting down ProTools and re-installing the xvx plugs fixes the problem.

None of the PACE/iLok materials seem to be calling home (I'm using Little Snitch to monitor). So give it a go... and support the plugins/makers that you like if you can.

alpiner: But hey, don't worry there's no problem with using illegal and legal software together only if the "developer" (cracker in this case) has done a bad job!

eyespark: pace/ilok don't know about them but ilcenser is calling home so in that case always use an proxy!

I have the M-Powered version of ProTools, which requires an iLok, and I've run it with tons of [k]'d plugs for 3 years now with no problems.
