I need this and I paid for it. (don't ask). Thanks a million!

But for me even the legit version crashes Logic pro x the second I load anything. Standalone I have no issues. Oh well.. I think Logic doesn't like VST stuff regardless of how it is handled.

Except, of course, Logic doesn't utilise VSTs... Only AUs...and no issues here with Kontrol with Logic Pro X (10.2.4) and either El Cap nor Sierra on three different Mac configurations.

Hey guys I have 3 questions for you=
-Do you mean I need to install twice my plugins AU + VST if I want to use Komplete Kontrol ? I always clear VST folder after installing plugins to make space on startup drive.
-I hesitate to buy a Native S serie Keyboard also because it seem to be a software inside a software ... is KK light on CPU and really transparent ?
-Can I try this soft with my own keyboard or do I need native inst keyboard ?

To use Maschine or komplete kontrol native instruments requires the vst in order for it to work properly. If you only have the au plugin nothing will show up in the factory tab but it's useable in this way . It's not heavy on cpu basically it's like using the old kore 2 pluging it's a nerve centre for all you native instruments plugs and nks ready ones . And yes you can use your own keyboard , the only benifit of kk keyboard is its premapped your keyboard won't be.

Frankly, I hate Komplete Kontrol. It seems like alpha software from the 90's compared to Kontakt. My S88 is fantastic, and the lights are awesome, but when I found out they don't work in Kontakt I was sad. That would have been perfect. I don't like having vst's running inside anything in Logic so I'll probably never see the usefulness of the lights guides unless NI opens them up to Kontakt and Reaktor etc.

All that said, I think the problem in KK in Logic X has more to do with our K'ed versions of Kontact and Reactor and "code signed" issues than it does with KK itself. It will load 3rd party plugs ok and Kontakt player basic. Oh well, I'm not giving up my k'ed Kontakt even for lights.

I've discovered that in Logic X on Sierra, the last version of Kontakt here that will work under KK without crashing Logic X is 5.5.2. 5.6.0 or 5.6.1 k;ed VST will crash my Logic X every time you load any preset of a Kontakt lib. It sees Kontakt as an invalid code signing or something. I wish I understood what was the difference in these kracks more so I could figure out what is happening inside KK.

Newest Komplete 1.8 still crashes newest 5.5.6 Kontakt inside Logic Pro latest if Kontakt is k'ed. I wish I could figure out why.
