How do people find these things out and know cracker wishes? I wouldn't know how to find out what PiTcHsHiFTeR actually wants with his cracks since quite regularly his stuff is uploaded and there is no fuss in the comments. Not doubting, just curious how somebody like me would be supposed to know.

Shame if it's true, upvoted before I read the comments and now I wish I could take it back. Considering it's Shiva Space (is this really the same person as Awake?) that posted it, I wouldn't be surprised if it is all true. Him and iNTEGRAL are the greediest douchebags on the site, place would probably be better off without them but unfortunately that decision is not up to me to make.

We don't like leechers spreading cracks without consent. Some of them use AudioZ as trampoline to make monetary PROFITS out of downloads. And they use multiple accounts on other boards only to get access to the goodies. Then they steal from there, re-pack it and publish it here as "exclusively released on AudioZ".
I know that some other idiots called "AppKed Team" are doing the same with non-audio stuff. They just steal here & there and bring the goodies as "[K'ed by Appked Team]" when they've done nothing at all apart from stealing.

You know... we (normal AZers who use and enjoy the shares/posts sincerely) see a lot of riffs and issues happening between suppliers, crackers, mods, etc., and we get confused. At least I do. I've stayed neutral my years here, but very much appreciative, nonetheless. However, I don't get the honor or loyalty that these posters/crackers request from others doing the same exact thing. What is it really about? Is it really about getting the software to the people or is it personal? I don't need specifics, but it's confusing.

It's like the drug game/cartels. A lot of you may smoke weed, but you don't know who or exactly where your weed is coming from, nor do you know who your suppliers supplier is, or who they work with to get it across borders, etc. And you don't really care. As long as it's good weed. Good product. Also, there's a shitload of pride in that dark business, but there's no loyalty. No honor. I'm not condoning the BS, but it's a dirty, unfair game. Same here. It's almost foolish to expect respect.

I love this site and check it daily. I sincerely respect everyone who has shared anything here and I don't intend to disrespect anyone here. Maybe someone can't enlighten me. What is it about?

I can't say I know what's going on because I'm just a lone wolf & I'm not involved in any crack groups or anything. I'm just one lad who is giving back on what little he has. Everything I do is independently done. Even music I'm just one guy. Never been in a REAL band other than my school's band several years ago. But my impression is it's about not getting in trouble with the developers. As you may or may not know, some developers are very aggressive people who will go to far lengths to make sure their products are freely available on the internet. Some may even take the law into their own hands. It IS against the law to do what we do on here. This IS illegal for the most part. But really we're all just poor musicians who can't spend $800 on software, because they simply don't have it. Some of us are in somewhat destitute countries like Ukraine, Argentina, Philippines, Korea, or even some parts of the United States, where there aren't a whole lot of good paying jobs anywhere. So that is why we're here. That is probably why you're here, too. But if I understand correctly, it's to make sure their own asses are completely covered (I'm talking about the teams/crackers now). I could be wrong. I could be way off. But I've just accepted that I'm not revolutionary god or anything. I'm just a regular dude who lives for pizza & tacos & sexy women & most importantly - music. So are those guys who are cracking it. But I'll never be as good as say, R2R or any of them. I'm just here to give you samples & shit so you can make music without filing bankruptcy. Nothing special. No reverse engineering or any wizardry. But I probably have more money than most of you, so I just step up to the plate once in a while & give you something you want. I'm from America - land of all different walks of horseshit & ugly ass people & bank account crippling taxes/bills. So we have to have some kind of money otherwise they'd have no way to fuck us in the ass.
But I'm no genius in this field. So I just roll with the tides around here. But I can say is Shiva Space was politely asked not to do something, but he did otherwise. That alone is just rude regardless of why he wasn't allowed to share it. But I think it's because the release could have someone's personal info on it & therefore makes them vulnerable to legal trouble with the devs.

And when PiTcHsHiFTeR, Kook, R2R, Hexwars, other groups and iND's decide to stop posting altogether because of users like Awake, how will you be able to try before you buy?

People like Awake's only motive is to leak and make some quick money using pay per download links to sites like uploaded. Groups want you to try before you buy. They don't want people taking advantage of this and making a quick buck in the process. It has nothing to do with being 'elite'. The place we are talking about is well known and relatively easy to find, anyways!

I'm all for discussion, but we are going off-topic so Olymoon and SAINT will be mad at us.
All we can do now is enjoy and discuss this release from PiTcHsHiFTeR - which runs flawlessly might I add.

Catalyst was very different. His attitude was very aggressive and I believe he had bad intentions for this site. I.e, He wanted to make it private access only. He even spread his detest of public sites and aggressive attitude to other members. I had noticed other members attitudes becoming increasingly hostile the closer they became with Catalyst. That's in the AudioZ history books now anyway.

I understand where you're coming from on the money making situation, but these groups do this for us for free and we are lucky enough that they share these releases with us. I am grateful for this every day as these groups and iND's have inspired me and turned making music production into a huge passion of mine. They only ask that people ask for consent to share the release publicly and that people do not make money with their efforts. I want people in the future to be as lucky as I have been and I believe when Awake does things like this, it can damage that possibility and potentially AudioZ reputation too.
I love this site and I don't want to see that happen.

Look right & think it this way: An individual cracker is NOT a Team. He doesn't have other human resources than himself to crack the nuts, hence the AMOUNT of time and efforts put in a challenge can be huge in some cases.

Then he asks for a little respect and stupid greedy leechers don't give a damn about it and publish it anyway, making also the developers aware of their defeated copy protection. So in the next updates they will implement time bombs and other annoying extra protections or even stop offering DEMO versions. All this thanks to them greedy selfish folks. An individual cracker deserves more respect than any Team because he's exposing himself much more and often working much more. Now you should understand why he prefers more secret sites, it has nothing to do with elitism.

I agree but your train of thought is a bit flawed. I mean, when a crack surfaces, devs will eventually find out about it and revise their protection scheme. It has totally nothing to do with the "secrecy" of the site, never heard about snitches? If I follow you correctly, you support that nothing except old versions should appear on audioz, torrent sites and other public places, right?

A release is called a release because it's being released... It will find its way out... If you don't want it, you keep it to yourself, which is perfectly fine as long as you don't come here and there and brag about it I guess.

@BumBcl0t: I fail to see how you believe that Catalyst was going to harm the site, when at the same time you tell me that "greedy uploaders are bad"... Can you imagine audioz without uploaders? Would you visit a site with nothing new every day? Is it a dilemma of "private but with cool stuff" vs "public with only lame sample packs and free preset banks" or...? If we're talking the second case, we all would be at kvr instead of here ;)

Exactly, and the MAIN problem with warez sites like this is that the releases often come too quick and the distributors don't care if the cracker allowed it or not. AGAIN: The leechers (like Shiva Space) cause troubles! Individual crackers can get very vexed when folks don't respect their wishes.

i do respect the developer, i do respect the supplier and the cracker, but i also respect the guy who makes it available for me to grab, whoever they are, otherwise i wouldn't even bother. it's a chain, if one of them is missing, i (i=random AZ user) wouldn't have access to anything serious... in the same manner, somebody could argue that AZ makes money off warez by means of ad revenue, but you know, that server has to be paid, and I don't recall seeing any cracker butthurt over this...
