Necessary prerequisite packages installed:

Microsoft Vidial C++ 2015-2022 Redistributable
v14.36.32532.0 (x64) or greater

-TCD

P.S. If you can't see it well, edit this file to disable
OpenGL here:

%appdata%\com.sonible.smartreverb2\preferences.plist

Under the line with "UseOpenGL" there is a "true" - set
it to "false" (without quotes) and save.

Enjoy!

TCD Sidenote: Audio user Shaggy gets the high shame
of the moment for being a total bum and blaming
a great team bringing good for his own fault
of having an incompatibly-setup machine.

You need to perform a clean boot and determine which
bum software is preventing your Windows from working
properly. Might it be MSI Afterburner opened since boot?

The scene strikes, yet again. :/ " So yes there's
something wrong with the compression TCD"

No - there's something wrong with your blaming skills
and your machine.

I'd rather try it myself than listening to the banshee
Come here just to try the software and buy it afterwards.
If I don't like the software I will just DELETE it.

As mentioned by TCD, always assume YOU are wrong, or your machine is wrong, before assuming the release is wrong.
That is particularly true if YOU are the first to see a problem.
This kind of attitude may save you time and shame.
If you have an unlimited amount of the first, and none of the latter....well, good luck with that.

The case of the so-called "bad compression" was due to someone apparently attempting to dissect the installer with what most likely amounts to a faulty or outdated setup extractor. Obvious end user issue and nothing more...

Although the concept is very interesting and the tests I've heard sounded great, each single instance consumes 5 times more CPU than an instance of Altiverb. So, definitely not for me. That being said, great release!

Installed depedendencies, deactivated opengl, and the the circle of the instance show and vanish in the central control and left panel...

Uninstalled.
The same issue persists: circles disappear after a few seconds.
The behavior is identical with OpenGL enabled or disabled.

I am getting an issue where the instances inside of the plugin disappear after about 4 seconds. I have trouble blaming my system, when everything else is working fine. Could it be something on my end? Absolutely. But that does not seem as likely. Either way, I didnt pay for anything and I appreciate the work these people do for free. Edit: The issue persists in Ableton and Reaper, and on the legit demo. I am stumped for now. Update: I turned off my vpn and now it works. Never had a plugin do that until now.

This is a very interesting information, cause can really indicate the possibility that the plugin is calling home to work with no issues, and when using a VPN is not being able to receive some information from "home"... Thx for the heads up, i dont use a VPN but blocked Reaper in firewall going to try to unblock and see if it works...

No VPN here, could not find a firewall rule blocking anything at reaper or in hosts about sonible, but as we have lots of entries in the hosts file, could be from another "blocking" but even disabling the Windows Firewall, control show show and vanish after 4 secs. Already unisntalled and reinstalled all the dependencies too. Tried in a clean machine and it works... Going to keep looking to try to provide a solution to others too...

PowerShell Script for Network Diagnostics and Reset (Multicast + Loopback Fix)
This is a multi-step script focused on solving multicast and local loopback network issues, especially when using plugins like Sonible Smart Reverb inside Reaper.

✅ What this script covers:
✅ Check if Windows Firewall is blocking
✅ Check if TinyWall or other third-party firewall tools are active
✅ Check if Reaper.exe has firewall exceptions
✅ Check for any multicast blocking rules
✅ Fully reset TCP/IP stack and Winsock (step 4 that you might not have tried yet)
✅ Clear any cached routing tables
✅ Force IPv4 multicast loopback reactivation

✅ PowerShell Diagnostic and Network Reset Script:
Copy and paste this into PowerShell (Run as Administrator):

powershell
Copiar
Editar
Write-Host ">>> Network Diagnostic and Reset for Multicast + Loopback <<<" -ForegroundColor Cyan

# 1 - Check Windows Firewall status
Write-Host ">> Current Windows Firewall status:" -ForegroundColor Yellow
Get-NetFirewallProfile | Format-Table Name, Enabled

# 2 - List active firewall rules for Reaper
Write-Host "`n>> Existing firewall rules for Reaper.exe:" -ForegroundColor Yellow
Get-NetFirewallApplicationFilter | Where-Object { $_.Program -like "*reaper.exe*" } | Format-Table Program, DisplayName

# 3 - Check if TinyWall (third-party firewall) is running
Write-Host "`n>> Checking if TinyWall is running:" -ForegroundColor Yellow
Get-Process | Where-Object { $_.ProcessName -like "tinywall*" }

# 4 - Check for any multicast UDP blocking rules
Write-Host "`n>> Checking for multicast-related firewall rules:" -ForegroundColor Yellow
Get-NetFirewallRule | Where-Object { $_.DisplayName -like "*Multicast*" -or $_.RemoteAddress -like "226.*" } | Format-Table DisplayName, Direction, Action, Enabled

# 5 - Full TCP/IP Stack and Winsock Reset
Write-Host "`n>> Resetting Winsock and IP Stack..." -ForegroundColor Green
netsh winsock reset
netsh int ip reset

# 6 - Flush routing cache
Write-Host "`n>> Flushing routing cache..." -ForegroundColor Green
route -f

# 7 - Flush DNS cache (not related to multicast, but part of the full network reset)
Write-Host "`n>> Flushing DNS cache..." -ForegroundColor Green
ipconfig /flushdns

# 8 - Reminder: Reboot required
Write-Host "`n>>> IMPORTANT: After running this, you MUST reboot your computer before testing Sonible again!" -ForegroundColor Magenta

✅ Final tip :
This script is safe for typical users, but they should save any static IP settings first if they use manual configurations.
Also, temporarily disable TinyWall or any third-party firewall while testing Sonible after reboot.

For me solved now
