VST2 still not scanned. When trying to add the path it will give message that the path is already part of the Plugin collection.

NI is a mess, standalone has the import glitch where it says duplicate location, and the file browser is not in alphabetical order. I checked permissions like Bob Dule suggested and they match, but standalone ain't having it. VST3 does work though, import and all!!!, so I still think its a permissions issue somewhere, but I'll take this small win for now.

In regards to those who have an issue with VST2 or VST3 import/plugin scan freezing, I start this by saying I'm no expert by any means . From version 3.1 (before the standalone permissions/ no import issue) The only way I could get the plugins to scan for me was to scan a small amount of plugins at a time. It seems to me the niplugininfo.exe would take a certain amount of plugins and then lock up instead of proceeding forward. If you start Maschine, start task manager, then open resource manager you can see where Maschine literally stops scanning anything so you would have to kill process and start again. Again this was the case for "me" because I do have too many plugins

Like I said I'll take the small victory that something works at this point. Thanks Bob Dule for the help.
