do you use it with SIP off or on?

SIP is off. See my link below. There is a thread on using Cubase (and other Steinberg products) without touching SIP on the sister site that I created.

Awesome! Thank you for the Update!

Made the splash and upgraded so I could go back to the older legit versions. Hate it, first making 32 bit vsts obsolete and now blacklisting other good plugins? Sticking with 12 (until I finished or backup/bounced old projects) will make the leap when all my fav plugins are available and use multithreading silicon, but still having an old Mac on spare for those lovely 32 bit gems that didn't make the leap. (And I can even still play DVDs, f*n awesome)

tx, and Great job keeping the balance !
cheers

the numbers of cubase updates are crazy and i see that many users here, complain about the stability of those last updates.
what is the most stable version until now ?
12? 13? 14?
* im not a CUBASE user, but i wanna check another good DAW
  Member 28.04.2025 39

if you don't mind, what's your current daw?? (just asking)

first of all - must to thanks for this download- everything works perfect here (M1).
I was with AVID pro tools for almost 20 years and for the last year, I moved to Studio one and it was crazy to know immediately, that there are other wonderful and powerful DAWS Out there that more stable and faster than pro tools!!
This is only my opinion of course. .
for me - STUDIO ONE is a beast DAW and for sure, I'll try CUBASE from this download. Thanks

I've disabled SIP, rebooted, replaced the file into the .app path, and ran successfully the terminal code, but when i open i get the infamous "No Valid License found. The program will quit now." ; any idea about how to solve it? I'm on M1 Ultra / Sequoia

I did read that and execute it to the letter but I had the "No valid license found" message. I then realised the guide was written after installing a previous Cubase release so I uninstalled Cubase and tried with the 14.0.20 VR release but I still get the same message. What could be the cause at this point? I checked the Apple certificate over and over, it has a green tick. I also corrected the quotation marks that the txt editor automatically switched to left and right quotations. As I said I read the thread extensively, over and over.

Regarding this Cubase 14.0.30 release:

1. Go to programs, Cubase 14 app → "show content"
2. Go to the macOS folder inside
3. replace the EXEC file from the release
4. Terminal → execute all the codes from my written post on AS

5. Now do step 4 but now with the whole Cubase 14 app
6. Now do step 4 but now with the license.bundle file
7. Now do step 4 but now with the license app

This works!

Meanwhile I uninistalled everything Steinberg and re-installed the 14.0.20 version, followed your terminal prompts and it worked! It opens up without the "no valid license found" message, so thank you so much!

Now I want to try the 14.0.30 version, can I just overwrite it or do I need to uninstall the 14.0.20 version first?

Then, I will replaced the exec file with the one from the release.

After that I will perform all your codes, 16 lines in total, correct?
3A, 3B, 4A, 4B (that's how I organised on my txt file).

This is a small code that I've written.

1. Open Terminal
2. Drag the file into Terminal
3. Make sure that there is a "SPACE" after it
4. Now drag your files into the Terminal
a) EXEC file inside Cubase App → press Enter
b) Cubase app → press Enter
c) license.bundle → press Enter
d) license app → press Enter

Open Cubase.
No need to delete older versions before.
In case you install other Steinberg products like Halion or so, you may have to do step c) and d) again.

Hey thanks for this! The code is in German, will that work considering my system is in English? Also what is the code for really? Is it for saving time rather than copy/pasting the 16 lines of code? Anyway, when I drag it in terminal it says "permission denied"

haha the code is not German - only the comments :)

It's only to save time.

Maybe codesign the file first, who knows...

You will anyways need to type in your password after hitting Enter (but only once until you close Terminal)

alright ok! Anyway, I installed 14.0.30 on top of the 14.0.20 installation, replaced the EXEC, then applied all the 16 lines of code and it seems to open right up! If I want to install other Steinberg software teh procedure will be the same but with the new app path instead of the one from Cubase in the code right?

“Execute all the codes from my written post on AS”
Excuse my ignorance, could you please be more clear on where to find this post of yours on AS, with all the codes you wrote?
Then could you also tell me where to find, license.bundle and license app? Thank you

No need to disable SIP. Look somewhere here I posted the link to my explanation on Audiosex.pro.

Also check this, it makes it even easier. You need to generate the CERTIFICATES!
Look at both and you will understand it.
