Hello everyone.
Great program, flawless installation.
I'm using Windows. Could you tell me where to direct me to move the libraries to an external drive?
I've tried several times without success. Thank you.

Must just be me, but this nuked all my previous ezkeys librares.
Just a friendly warning to backup any libraries you had.

Anyone who can help, thanks in advance:

Like others, I use an alternative, non-default library path for EZkeys. I noticed that in the case of the latest EZkeys, the Database folder (Toontrack/EZkeys 2 in the ProgramData folder) contains a few recent MIDI libraries that I didn't have before. My problem is that these are in so-called midiDB files and if I copy them into the folder that is the path to my EZkeys libraries and MIDIs, EZkeys cannot play them.

Is it possible to extract plain MIDI files from these? Or is the only solution to this if I somehow restore the default library path and export the MIDIs one by one?

I am NOT sure!
But I think the new version overwrites the custom path in settings.
If you edit that back to what you had originally, NEW installs seem to go to that place by default.
You'll have to move the default organ from the vanilla install, to your old library path manually.
Get the path of the factory default from settings, before you set your (external) old library path.

Let us all know if that works for you!

Hi, I checked a few previous MIDI packs and it seems that the midiDB data is always there next to the specific MIDI files. This leads me to think that the official Toontrack updates (drums, bass, keys) include the midiDB data of all the MIDI packs officially released up to that point by default, but NOT the specific MIDI files. That's why if you give EZdrummer/EZkeys the path to these files, the data that the midiDB contains is displayed (name, tempo, intensity, so everything seems to be fine) but EZdrummer/EZkeys can't play them because the MIDI files themselves are missing.

I think you're right. The midiDB files should be only a database of the .mid files to allow faster organizing/selecting.

What I don't know is if EzKeys rebuilds them automatically with only the existing files if you delete them
[2009] Sorry for my English. I'm working on it
[2017] I'm beginning to improve. Hell yeah, I'm a fast learner :D
