Sub Cut lets you apply precise low cuts under 220Hz. Remove unwanted sub bass or make room when layering bass sounds. AUTO mode analyses audio in real-time and continually adjusts the cut by following the notes of your source material. Isolate problematic frequencies in your mix or in your studio. Click on the waveform to quickly flip between your audio and test tones while adjusting your cut.

Sub Cut is different to general purpose EQs. The filters have been fine tuned for 220Hz and below to provide accurate cuts that feel right to musical ears.
Choose from 3 rolloff frequencies. Each has been calibrated to produce a rolloff that is both pleasing and leaves the remaining material clean and uncoloured.
Match the key of your source material. Choose cutoffs by note (e.g. G2) and Sub Cut will only start rolling off below that note.

Yes but what might be interesting here is the "AUTO mode analyses in real-time and continually adjusts the cut by following the notes of your source material". The bottom end adjustment is a defining part of most mixes, sometimes a 10 Hz modify up/down on the low cut, or a 1.5 dB increase/decrease can change the "bottom feel" of the mix and it's great that there is such a plugin which gives a suggestion. Then you can obviously modify or ignore it according to your needs.

I think it's supposed to cut dynamically, moving the filter around in real time depending on the input. That would be really cool for vocals, following the fundamental and cutting everything below. Auto Tune EQ already does something like that.

Or maybe just don't low cut everything like all the "mixing" influencers preach and learn proper mixing techniques like spectral ducking or phase rotation.

I think is more beneficial to your mixes if you also think in the dimension of time: whats the point of removing low frequencies from a voice is there is no other lower frequencies fighting for the space? If you end up needing a LPF that is going to move itself anyway (and probably not in a perfect way since low end fundamentals aren't that clear to define sometimes) you aren't really adding anything or taking any magical shortcut... Just low pass under the lowest note the voice sings if there is really audible low end and dynamically duck any other instrument that is in the same space and then you save yourself another "magical" plugin :)

After a quick test seems quite effective in cleaning up the unnecessary rumble in precise and musical way.... maybe even too effective.
Hopefully they will add an extra knob to control the amount of effect applied.

I don't know how to explain it but for some reason, I get better and cleaner result with this then my usual DAW EQ HPF even when simply using it manually.
