Hmmm, what's the difference now between the recently released same "bobdule" version but with & without TCD and 0,4GB smaller

Yes, because 0,4GB "crash code" is missing

the tcd version embed patched files,
my patcher only modify the code. so it is smaller.

the crash occur from a newer modif to make.

It works just fine. I always prefer your versions of Kontakt, over the others. Thank you so much!
I have a problem though: Since I installed it, I can't access Soundcloud. The page thinks I'm offline and takes me to an error page. Does the patch add some rule, that blocks certain domains or something? Do you have any idea how to fix it?

Davinci is a proper VST host and sometimes it is useful to add some msuic tracks or fx inside a video project without hassle to open DAW, export audio, open Davinci again, etc. :) Although I must say that Fairlight (Davinci audio panel) is the worst substitute of DAW I have seen in my life.

tbf i don't think it is ever intended to be a substitute for a DAW. it is as you mentioned earlier just there for simple tweaking and adding elements on the go. maybe you could make something decent in it sure since it can host vsts... but do you want to put that effort to work with that weird workflow? idk bout that. I'm fond of Davinci as its my primary editing software, its simple easy to use, does what i need to do(had a hard time getting into the fusion nodes based editing contrary to after effects) but i can't think of it ever replacing Cubase or Pro Tools as my workhorse DAWs.

Thanks again Mr. Dule!

Sorry for the insistence, but is this version already working smoothly? Can it import the "homemade libraries" without any major issues?

Uninstall this blasphemy and install an older version. Simple.

For me v5 is the last great Kontakt. Sticking to it and it works perfectly. There are 1000s of libraries for it. No need for anything newer.

Thanks a lot Bobdule as always - I'm a big fan of your Kontakt versions! You make it super easy to use all these "dirty" libs - still have your Kontakt 6 & 7 versions runnin' - some libs just don't show up in one or the other. But with both of'em installed it's all good. Maybe version 8 joins my others soon, as some libs only work with Kontakt 8 - is it stable, guys?

BTW: Usually my first choice is always R2R - but with Kontakt it's always Bobdule!

it crash on Heavyocity Gravity 2 here, and maybe other libraries.
the portable also
the player also
the R2R patched also

gravity 2 only load in 7.10.7 on my cheap pc, all 8 versions over say low memory and crash.

we are ready for a next one.

That is odd... I've been using Gravity 2 for my last project(a month-ish or so) and I have your 8.2.0 version of Kontakt I believe. It hasn't crashed or anything for me. Is it becoz I have mine batch resaved?

I have the bobdule Kontakt Player 7.10.6 version works perfectly never have a problem, but I want to use some new libraries if I install this version can I use both without losing anything in Kontakt 7?

you never loose nothing saved.
in the worse case it can need a reboot.
try to keep the task manager opened to kill it if crashed.

you can check the 7.10.7 still working with all
if 8 is over loaded like a mule.

is the 8.3.0 version on your site fixed as this one is?

been waiting for a totally fixed proper release of any version since 8 came out. I use portable and usually use BobDules portable version but ive stuck to 7. Since according to Every website/forum im on everyone says the same. It either crashes something or everything or it freezes the DAW or the entire windows system, uses Way to much RAM ect, asks for serial, patches dont work etc etc. I know you godly modders will get it perfect soon but thank you for ALL your hard work and dedication. Til then Im staying on 7 still.

there is a memory management issue. that make 8 crash when low memory.
some conflictual nki's also need to be saved from 7 before load in 8 correctlly.
you have to use it on a gamer pc.

Bobdule version 7 works perfectly for me. For some reason I don't know, all R2R versions don't work, they don't even open.
  Resident 17.06.2016 1 783

in fact the crash is linked to the pagefile.sys size management.
kontakt don't like user defined size
it works well if managed by the system.
don't use the recomended size ( it is too small)

it don't crash now if well adjusted.
it will take 4Go or more only to write the pagefile.sys.

under sized memory will crash on loading consuming nki's.

Is 32Gb of installed memory enough for no crash problems?
