License doesn't work for me. Did everything as stated in the readme (done the same with 3 other excite audio vst's and those work).

Actually no, i threw it into the license folder in roaming, just like i did with the others (at least that's how i remember it) but somehow this license file really does have to just be thrown in roaming without the license folder. Oh well, thanks for the reminder, i should've taken the readme literally

I installed it correctly, put the license file in the right folder (when I open the plugin it tells me it is registered). But it does not make any sound

Only certain keys will make a sound - the rest seem to be modifiers.

The second install method worked for me - if you open the plugin before you add the key - just delete the new key and keep the one provided

On "Tom's Guide" you can find an excellent guide on how to edit your Mac hosts-file.. - Simply search for this on Google - "How to edit the Host file on macOS".

Another way to do it, would be to block the application/plugin in your firewall.
