- The latest version includes:

Haven't used Waves in a while. Would someone be so kind and tell me which release works best these days if I only want to install a single plugin like Curves Equator for example`?

Waves definitely still has some useful stuff. I still use the CLA 1176 and LA2A as well as H-delay from time to time. SSL stuff and API stuff also isn't bad. MV2 is a pretty cool for upward compression.

I don't use many WAVES plugins this days, but DBX is done wonderfully. It is one of the most authentic and accurate algorithmic comps that I heared. It is in most cases indistinguishable from real DBX hardware compressor. I own hardware DBX. SSL EV2 as well as is CLA Mix Hub. If you disregard Nebula, best SSL emulation in algorithmic plugins. First old versions of SSL isn't that bad also, but don't models any harmonic content. So If you want super clean SSL type this could be good and much CPU ligher option for SSL EV2. SSL and API compresors are also done right. Thay can all benefit vary much whit combining them with some nice preamp captures from NAM for adding some realistic saturation when needed. Even though SSL EV2 saturation sounds pretty good.
