Very lightweight on cpu. Only needs 4x oversampling in HQ mode @96kHz.

Is everyone loving this plugin?

I think the OCELOT range will be very successful.

I'll give this a try later. I'm curious to see how it compares to Saturate (my current favorite clipper).
be kind :)

Sorry, Can you tell me the company/brand of your plugin? I'm testing all the well known clippers to find the best choice for me.

Gold clip by Schwabe Digital. I know it is expensive but it is better than Saturate. I have them both. I use Saturate on the tracks for a few reasons and Gold clip on the master. There is a difference between both. Saturate tends to make the mix lose its wideness on the master, that is why I don't use it there. I have also Softube clipper. Use it only for mixing. My go to for drums is Kraftur. This thing can effectively knock a few db's without losing the transients and help later with the limiter on the master. This way limiter will not fight the picks and you can get louder master. Another one for mixing is Kazrog KClip3. For me Schwabe Digital wins on the master bus.

Newfangled Saturate

I prefer AA Ash (classic).

For the people talking about their favourite clippers: Why not Kazrog?

Kazrog is outclassed by apShaper, this & Softube clipper in terms of anti-aliasing quality.

Clipping your real converters is actually really nice
  Resident 15.02.2019 337

depends on the converter ... a lot.

All consumer converters are good enough nowadays.
Give it a try!

How is this done

Liking the Ocelot line of plugins. For the Clipper, i love the option to clip the track symmetrically or asymmetrically while having the indicator showing the harmonic generated from it, it can be very useful especially when you need a bit of loudness from the process.

The way I do it now is dc cut, then center the track using Izotope Rx before applying clipping. That way you can get maximum headroom possible before limiting. I found that having control over both pos and neg section of the waveform ia very handy for that purpose.

Can you explain about centering the track with RX before applying the clipper?
  Resident 29.11.2020 29 3021

It's fixing phase rotation on the track so the highest peak on the negative and positive side of the wave is somehow balanced, and at its minimum possible, so technically you get more headroom. There's a video about it, not really detailed but should give you the idea :

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SuYFWeXuErI

it's done so you'll get the most efficient clipping process possible. I don't think it matters much but like they say all the small little things add up in the end.

One of the best tricks that will be on my masters from now... Just did the trick and my master or now bigger and low-end more in your face. Thanks!

Nice to see some mastering oriented plugins from Fuse. Doesn't hurt to have a bit of variety in the product catalogue. Most of their stuff so far has been vintage hardware emulations and a couple of guitar related plugins, so I'm usually not that interested when they release something new. They do have that drum remixer plugin though, which is an interesting and powerful plugin.

solid clipper easy on the cpu, easy to use. low lantency. the ability to soft clip and hard clip and morph between is key in a clipper plugin. really liking this one alot
