Especially when A12 is the WORST launch they ever done (and i know Live since V1).
It is unstable like hell.

On AS forum, ppl even reported their MIDI instruments disappearing.
On my side, plugin scan was a nightmare.

On my side, I would have to buy a new computer to run 12 (it doesn´t even install on my system anymore: windows 8.1 which I love. I think it doesn't even install on my computer, considering the minimum specs. Long live 11!!!! LOL).

Max 9 only works with Live 12 though. And considering the speed improvements it's worth for that alone.

Max 9 itself doesn't need this, but Live 12 needs a processor with AVX2. And Win22H2 or latter, from what I recall. It might work on older, but I've not tried it. The AVX2 is hard requirement for Live 12 though. It will simply crash or hang on startup without.

One of obscure features of Live 11.3.25+ is that it bumps Max to 8.5.8 which doesn't exist separately. Based on some discussion on Cycling 74 forum, this is really Max 8.6 API underneath minus some packages. Apparently they've done this so Max 8.6 devices will work with all the API features in later versions of Live 11. Still you won't get Max 9 for Live 11, probably ever.
