Amigo Sampler started out as an idea by: Stekker. coming from the Old skool jungle scene where Commodore Amiga’s are still being used on a daily basis.

with software like Octamed & Protracker in combination with Akai’s, E-mu’s & Roland samplers.

Teamed up with ilchef who has been making promising plugins like Pullupmachine with his newly started VST Plugin startup PotenzaDSP this turned out to be a match made in heaven and birthed the Amigo Sampler project.

There are great software trackers on modern platforms like Renoise, OpenMPT and even free clones of Protracker & Fasttracker II by the amazing 8BitBubsy.
While we love the tracker workflow we also know for most people it looks
Like a mix between Excel and the codes from The Matrix.

So together we set on the mission to capture the magic sound of the Amiga while being easy and fun to use for everybody even those without experience of the original hardware or tracker softwares.

- MacOS – Logic Pro: MOD section sync issue – fixed an issue causing the modulation to un-synced with the project BPM in Logic Pro

- MOD section quirks – Fixed an issue causing undesired behaviour when automating modulation amount (AM)

Old school Jungle producers in the 90s used 80s samplers. These were often lo-fi and crunchy. The Amiga is basically an 80s sampler, and it is lo-fi and crunchy, and trackers let you sequence samples. The Amiga was popular with jungle producers in the 90s, and they used trackers on those (ProTracker, Octamed).

Amigo is trying to create that experience in a modern way.

i bought this it was 10£ or something but i lost my details and didn't even get this v2!,oops.its good btw.gritty and looks really cool, need to get round to trying it again!,well done i dont have to pissabout trying to find my details, i used to use trackers on amiga!, great! was using soundtracker and octamed on amiga!
