NI was purchased by a Private Equity group, Fransisco Partners, not to be confused with Venture Capitalist group. And SSL, Harrison, Slate and sonible, among other lesser-known brands, is part of a much larger company, Audiotonix, who isn't owned by the Private equity group PAI, but they do own the majority share. It's a minor difference in the larger picture... but there is a difference. Both are soulless acquisitions that will further devalue software, and take another step towards wiping out all but the most resilient smaller devs, not so much by necessity, it's just by the nature of the beast. This is what you get when you condone unchecked Capitalism.

Yeah, I just had my fair share in support hell.
Izoptope was ok. not the best but ok. I mean I never was a huge fan of giving the package a new number every year making it a major update. I don't even know the difference between v7 and v11. But ok, one got to pay the rent. and they did help when there was a problem. These times are over. If the (badly written) chat bot on NIs support page does not help you noone is gonna to. And he won't help as a matter of fact.
I'm gonna say goodbye. Thinking about getting DX Revive pro and that spectral layer thing.

oh...man... NI now eh? I hope NI didn't totally pooch this tool like most take-over corporations do to newly acquired stuff... (e.g. sony/magix with the soundforge line)

Apparently NI is trying to become the new "microsoft" of the audio plugin/software world. Microsoft hasn't come up with a new product of their own since office and most of that was "acquired" from corporate purchases of small independent companies whose founders wanted to turn a quick buck. It appears NI is following in the footsteps...

Most important. By appliing the patch, there is a bug "Nothing to patch" even in Admin mode.
Opening the app is only in trial mode.
Help needed.

As always, good producers of very efficient software end up being swallowed up by the caimans of high profits. Another example from many years ago was when Cool Edit, produced by Syntrillium software, was literally sucked up by Adobe and was named "Audition".
