VST3 crashes Ableton and Cubase in M1 Sonoma
y'all got anymore of those plugins??

Installed from .pkg. Blocked ports Terminal.
Info/ReadMe says “Replace "DeeAcid.info" /Users/*YOU*/Library/Application Support/DOTEC-AUDIO/“.
No DOTEC-AUDIO shows up in Application Support. Plug launches invalid Logic Pro 11.0. Added DOTEC-AUDIO with regged DeeAcid.info inside - put folder in Application Support. Still invalid. ???
MacOS 13.6.7 Ventura, MacBook Pro i9 (Intel) 64GB ram. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

On MAC Sonoma apple:

you have to create a folder "DOTEC-AUDIO" in the invisble folder "Application Support"

And then place "DeeAcid.info"

Block (littesnitch) : "dotec-audio.com" & "dotec-audio.sakura.ne.jp".

The folder does actually create itself, but not until you run the (unauthorized) plugin once.

Clever guys.
In my case, DOTEC-AUDIO folder was in the ~/Library/Application Support.

But Dotec-Audio plugins detected the host file and if their servers are blocked, they remove license infomation from the license files after showing an invalid license message.

Had to block their host names using firewalls such as little snitch.

If you fail to block one of them, it will initiate all the licenses in the folder.

Same happened with me. I just locked the *.info license files so they don't get wiped, and using Little Snitch made the plugins load in full function mode.
DeeAcid is the only plugin from these releases where the VST3 will crash Ableton unless it's loaded in a wrapper like Blue Cats Audio Patchwork.

VST3 seems to work in Cubase 14 Pro, but it's a bit sketchy! sometimes it loads, sometimes it doesn't even show up. I don't think it's the K'd release fault, because I tried downloading the official installer from DOTEC before i blocked their websites, and installing the trial version. Still had the same issues. They themselves wrote on their website to make sure the trial works in the DAW before purchasing the plugin. In their demos they're using Cubase, so you would hope VST3 will work normally
