thats a bugfix release.

i tried to update R2R last version of 12 with the update in ableton, it downloads but do not install so ableton have done something to block the install, see if this release works.

now I know that the hang weren't the witches it was ableton itself hahaha great, the witches never fail. Thank you!

if is not VR or r2r im not trusting... i like to wait for the comments with important installs like this

I noticed something regarding Ableton in general, i use to update from version to version by uninstalling the previous and install the new, but lately i had some software issues so i had to deep clean anything Ableton related from my system even the reg files then installed v12.1 and it's the smoothest ever, scan is extremely fast, i'm not sure but i think the issue comes from installing version over the previous one and leaving so much junk behind, maybe Ableton in this case is reading from different registry entries idk, i'm no expert in this but i believe it's better to always do clean install
That was the case also when i built my new PC installing v11.3 then upgraded to v12.0.1 , version 11.3 was fast and snappier.

Updated using R2R 12.1 version, hang on start up fixed here

Hi Guys, I installed the software following the instructions carefully.
The software installs and starts correctly but it works in demo mode and asks for the registration code.
I used both methods ... creating the "Autorize auz" file ... but it doesn't work.
Following the instructions published by "monoxy", I also uninstalled it by deleting the references in the registry and installed the R2R version ... but even with that keygen it creates the Aurorize.auz file ... but it has no effect on the software, every time it starts it asks for the code and goes into demo mode.
I also tried the "way" of replacing vcruntime140_1.dll in windows/system32 (as suggested by the R2R txt).
The result was that Ableton didn't work but the other applications (Cubase etc.) didn't work either... so I put everything back as before.
Has anyone encountered the same difficulty as me?
Has it been solved?
I ask for your help because I would like to try Ableton ... but in demo the saving is disabled.

Is it necessary to use some other Patch from TEAM R2R?

hello i am under Win 10, and this version is working fine except i couldnot get the autorization work. i both try r2R version 12.1 and this one. i coulnot get it autorize (i have clean the registry and user/username/app/local/ableton and roaming also. i am going crazy. it works with ableton 11.3.6 but with ableton 12 it desn't want to work. Any idea ???? i need help .... thanks

I finally activated this. Its easy, just drag and drop the authorization file onto the ableton.exe while ableton is open. thats the final step of the process.

In v11 you could simply drop the file right into the open program and it would activate, but with 12 you cannot. So leave the program open and drop the file on the .exe instead. Voila!

So many people are having trouble with this. So was I.

since win 11 i more often have timebomb xp with ableton,

i startet using "simplewall" to really make sure nothing from ableton communiactes with the "outside"

any further tips / xp with that issue?

My Ableton is version 12.1 R2R.
Can I update to 12.1.1 by downloading the trial from the Ableton website?
Or can I update directly within Ableton?
Or does only the Audiowarez version work?

Patcher does not open for me on Win 10. Opening it causes a window to pop up for a millisecond and then it disappears. Tried normally and run as admin.
