TBProAudio Impress v3.3.0 U2B Mac [MORiA] screenshot
MORiA | AU | VST | VST3 | 14 MB
Architecture
Impress3 supports you in mastering the extensive tasks in the field of compression in modern music productions. Impress3 is therefore more than just a compressor. It supports all loudness adjustment tasks, from compression and loudness matching to limiting and clipping.

Compressor design
The compressor consists of various modules including detector, transfer curve and gain staging.
Measurement methods such as peak, RMS and EBU R128 ML/SL are supported.
There is also a filter bank with four EQs.

Overview
Top area with parameter A/B, presets, theme selector
Main controls like threshold/compression, ratio, attack and release
Advanced controls like transfer curve, look-ahead, over-sampling, detector, loudness matching, limiter, clipper and ABLM
Level display with xfer and loudness distribution display
Meter display
Spectrum analyzer inlcuding EQ response curve

Main controls
The main control area provides access to the main compressor controls like threshold/compression, ratio, attack and release.

Advanced controls
The advanced control area gives access to further controls like controls of Xfer input/output, look-ahead, over-sampling, detector, saturation, loudness matching, limiter, clipper and ABLM.

Displays
The level display shows the history of the input, output and gain reduction levels. It makes it easy to follow the processing on the input signal.
The three meters (light gray) display the current peak input (left), output (right) and gain reduction levels (middle), each in stereo, left/right channel.
The spectrum analyzer shows the spectrum of the compressor detector signal (pre and post filter) and the filter response curve.
The Xfer display shows the compressor transfer curve (detector signal), input level (horizontal) against output (vertical).
The loudness distribution display shows how the input, output and gain reduction values are distributed over selected time range.

this plugin surprised me, really interesting and capable of a wide range of processing. killer as both a sound design plugin and very versatile compressor. From crazy ott saturated clipped goodness to subtle, warm glue, and everything in between. thanks for the update MORiA!

Better than proC ??

I use both in the same chain since some a days ago trying some songs mastering, no better for a pure multiband proccess for me than ProC which is very, very good, but i´m using Impress to get some colur and for the output lufs control. ( different purpose)

Is different, more creative or colour with some presets?? maybe...but it worth a try, is easy and gentle to use.

much better. Pro C is a plasticy, lifeless plugin.

With this update it ask me a key to register, although if i click cancel the plugin works as normal, only each time is opened ask for a key....

Salute!

EDIT: fixed, it is only in Unify and VST, not VST 3,. In others daws works perfect without asking key.

Yes, I agree with you about the comparison with Pro-C.
Impress3 is the incarnation of the digital compressor with some very interesting analogue non-linear simulation model and curve and visually and graphically immediate.
Several tweaking options very well designed. Everything you need is in the right place.

Unfortunately, there were bugs in the previous version (3.2.6) that affected the graphic EQ and band type selection in Detect Tab, which disabled and locked the compressor until it was closed and reopened.
I hope they are fixed in this current version.

UPD: confirmed the previous bug. However, it only occurs if you try to change the Q via mouse or Touchpad instead of the GUI.
Furthermore, in this version the Vst2 version requires activation.
