Purafied Micro Limiter v1.0.2.1 REGGED WiN MAC-BUBBiX screenshot

The Biggest Little Compressor
Despite being able to fit three of them in 1U of rack space, producer Sam Pura is running out of places to put these deceptively cruel soft-knee compressors. To remedy this, and as part of our personal mission to prove that size doesn’t matter, we’ve modeled it in all its characterful intricacy so that no stereo channel can avoid its death grip. This is your sonic jackhammer for concrete wall mixes. Try it on anything you want to add pumpy, aggressive life to and find yourself addicted.

WTF. Talking about software as if it is hardware makes me want to smash some plugins on the console.

Sure but in this case they are talking about the actual hardware as if its hardware.

STILL BUGGY! Switching back & forth through oversampling modes while DAW plays causes the plugin to crash (Reaper v7.22)

Soundwise i kinda like it especially on drums ; quick & easy results

Seriously, I couldn't bring myself to use a plugin that looks like a clone of the Alesis Microverb III...

It's from the Micro series. The plugin is a visual clone of itself. Back when I was using the Tascam 246 in the late 80's the Microverb was my only outboard effect processor, LOL (besides of course my guitar pedals).

@superliquidsunshine: Yeah, I was gonna point that out. Good call.

Yeah, I think the devs have recreated my entire late-eighties set up now.
The only thing I haven't seen is the Roland TR505 but there are samples of it around.
I'm tempted to do a project using only what I used to but in plugin form.
I guess it would be the same but without all the hiss and tape dropouts and even that could be dialed in if needs be!

Ah yes of course, I remember now there was a little half rack comp as well as half rack verbs. I was immediately triggered by the font and knobs which I thought were reminiscent of the Alesis units. Having owned a microverb many years ago, which I found far too noisy to be of any practical use, the idea of implementing a digital clone fills me with horror. Can't say I ever used one of the micro limiters but have had plenty of experience with low grade Alesis comps of the time to know how much they sucked.
