low key, band in a box is actually awesome. Its a major pain in the ass to use, and theres a learning curve, but once you learn the quirks and fit it to your workflow, you can get some really cool stuff. Especially great for making your own "samples" to chop and replay. steps:

1. Make a chord progression, a simple piano progression. Make it jazzy, or don't, whatever.
2. Import the progression into BIAB.
3. Select a style. Go for a jazzy style, or any really.
4. Export the stereo bounce or stems back into DAW
5. Mix / add FX. Use classic compressor and eq emulations, minimal FX. Imagine yourself as being limited in the studio, like they were in the time period of samples we are trying to recreate.
6. Use something like LO-FI AF or sketch cassette etc to make it sound old.
7. Export new stereo file
8. Chop it up.
9. Repeat.

You know have a bunch of custom, one of a kind "Samples" no need to clear them, worry about copyright, or somebody else chopping the same sample as you.

I'm a little confused about what's included in the download (but I'm always confused about band in a box). The homepage says:

The PlusPAK is available as a ~15 GB download.


But the download size here is much smaller. Presumably the real tracks are missing?
