It’s block base sequencer/arpeggiator plugin.
The plugin consists of 3 parts, the “Block Chainer”, “SEQ/ARP block” and “Midi FX”.
There are 8 SEQ/ARP blocks available. And you can set the parameters differently per a block.
The Block Chainer will trigger these blocks with various options, and this will bring unique results.
And lastly generated sequencer/arpeggiator pattern will be processed by the Midi FX.

there is a file that comes with the download called "bubix", your computer might say its corrupt so it cant open it like mine did. just drag and drop that file into this site https://fileproinfo.com/free-viewer/nfo and voila! you'll see the product keys.

Not easy to directly compare the two since Catalyst is also a VSTi host and handles sequencing and harmonizing differently to HY-MPS3.
HY-MPS3, like the rest of their sequencers, gives you a lot of manual control over the sequencing and assumes you know how your intended patterns should sound.
I would say Catalyst is great for experimenting, but HY-MPS3 is for when you want or need fine control over very specific midi sequencing.
