I see no reason at all to jump on updates (or new products, like "Buss Exciter/Peak", which are already available from so many developers) as fast as a fly on jam, so I choose to stay on the safe and easy side by patiently waiting for the real deal...

Well , i have a little trick for you and for those who still doesnt know it. With last ASCEMU from R2R for arturia, there is a workaround for official demo's in arturia's website.

1. Install ASCEMU 1.1.0 from R2R
2. Get the demo for the plugin you want from arturia's website
3. Get this: https://audioz.download/software/236435-download_arturia-patcher-for-ascemu2-v20220-win.html
4. Just drag and drop the .vst3 (this is the only extension i use, but i assume it works for the rest) in the .cmd, which will patch the vst3
5. Done, now there is no more "demo" version with the official installer

(Works with every effect i tried till now, included the last 2, and it worked with instruments aswell, im using Augmented YANGTZE)

There is few v.r releases that have issues it doesn't mean is v.r fault it could be the developers too ijs
I been using both V.R and R2R no issues.

I use only VR releases for Arturia products. I have never encountered a problem with his "Just Install" way of delivery going on 3 years now with Win10.

Not a preference, one day R2R hadn't updated Arturia for a while....I gave VR a shot. I haven't noticed performance issues at all. Make no mistake, I made my bones in this life by using R2R products, so I am always happy use their products firstly.

I also do a full uninstall/clean/reinstall with every update...just to make sure. Never an issue.

But don't sleep on V.R or TCD. They got sh*t on lock too. I trust them with my system the same as R2R. For years now.

This release installed smoothly, all my projects are ok, and thanks V.R. for another great release!!!

I have never had problem with VR stuff, and usually use their releases for Arturia. They're the most prompt, and provide the widest variety of stuff. That said, TCD do an amazing job, and release more and more stufff every day, and R2R always have their revolutionary way of deconstructing everything, and some of the most spectacular cracks ever.

All teams occasionally have a malfunction - only those who do nothing don't make mistakes - and developers have even more of them. Just choose one and use it.

That said, I only update once a few releases, when there's something worth while. Too much stuff to keep up with daily.

Arturia is terrible for this exact reason. Their FX plugins tend to sound really good (some of them sound amazing), but they are hundreds of times larger in size than they have to be. They need to ditch the hundreds of thousands of PNGs for every plugin and start using SVG UIs.

Nowadays PCs without a dedicated GPU can run a huge number of SVG UI plugin instances without problems, so I don't understand why they insist on using outdated PNG UIs.

it's just that if you want to download all of arturia's stuff it will take like 70+ GB and create almost 900k files on your computer, and not only that but arturia's plugins take 5x the time to load (normal third party plugin loads in half a second and even the lightest arturia plugin takes like 2 seconds or more)

it would probably give them better results if they optimized their stuff instead of releasing another fx or augmented instrument. looking at their current offerings I don't think they'll find anything new to release that will be a game changer for them, it's already 'complete' enough

try to erase "db.db3" file in the presets folder and when you launch a plugin all the presets database is regenerated
