The Legend HZ has been designed with great care and attention to detail, so that no opportunities were missed to create a software synth which is both highly usable and insanely versatile. It is at heart the product of the combined knowledge of a genre-defining composer and Synapse Audio’s experience emulating an industry-defining synthesizer.

Building on the success of The Legend, we’ve teamed up with Hans Zimmer to mark new ground in analog modeling synthesis. Multiple features have been added to The Legend HZ that were previously unavailable with The Legend. These include an additional three oscillators (and with them an added polyphony setting), a modulation matrix, a 32-step sequencer, an MSEG for added modulation controls, and an expanded effects section.

The Legend HZ even contains a fixed filter bank that was modeled after Hans Zimmer's personal Vintage 914 Fixed Filter Bank, an exceptional and rare piece of hardware.

Moreover, 200 factory presets developed jointly by expert sound designer Kevin Schroeder and Hans Zimmer have been added. The factory soundbank gives anyone access to a wide range of cinematic-style sounds, while The Legend HZ itself provides access to some of the very tools used by them.

I think Model 72 is a better sounding Moog,
the Legend just sounds like a modern style synth IMO.

So as long its more of a modern synth then a Moog anyway,
just let Hans Zimmer make a better modern synth out of it.

And you're basing this on what, your gut instinct? The fact that Legend has extended features and Model 72 doesn't? Do you have a Minimoog?

A lot of people seem to have tested Legend to a Minimoog and found it was decent. So I think it's fine.

For example Model 72 feedback is like analog feedback . Legends is mehh .... I dont have a Minimoog but Starsky Carr has and compared them some time ago . Take a look .

I think the ST synths are closer to the originals but the Legend is still very good & this new version even better & has some good features for example polyphony. Not everything is about recreating exact copies of old gear.

Legend is good, Model 72 is little bit better but it dont have any FX even simple delay. You always need to use FX plugins and everytime i swear to Softube for their bullshit thinking way.

crashes Blue Cats, not DAW, but presets don't load parameter changes, so yes needs a fix. They usually protect their preset libraries too so they maybe didn't account for that. However, I would say VR, reach out to me for Beta testing these things before release. More than welcome to try out prior to a release.

That symbol is supposed to access the rear panel with the effects on. Yeah, crashes in Ableton as well.

Shows up in Ableton though the presets don't have any effect. Doesn't show up in Bitwig -- neither VST2 or 3.

Are there FX in this synth somewhere? I can't find any.

i think that the "reload symbol" mentioned by tortue above opens the back panel where the fx reside among other parameters but pressing this symbol crashes the synth so im guessing its something to do with the absent/disconnected fx section stopping presets loading just a guess tho

from manual;
The Legend has two panels, a front- and a back side. The panels
are toggled using the icon on the top-right of the interface

also it allows you to save and load user patches that unless anyone has figured out openin fx page dont have fx
