Digital reverb is the sound of the 80s - still reverberating today. From the greatest tracks of Prince, Kate Bush, and Phil Collins to modern classics from John Mayer, Lorde, and Taylor Swift. Bettermaker BM60 is the go-to digital reverb for the modern mixing engineer, faithfully capturing the studio reverb sound of the era, with its warmth and richness, in a plugin that’s fun and easy to use - for you and your CPU.

Coveted 80s reverb algorithm
BM60 is built with the algorithm of digital reverb hardware that’s ubiquitous in hi-end studios. Revered for its warm and lush sound. Get these vintage tones in your DAW with improved audio quality from DSP (Digital Signal Processing).

Quick and versatile reverb options
Get the right room and plate reverb for your tracks with simple and effective controls that make adjusting room size, diffusion, dampening, and modulation quick and fun. Sculpt the texture and tone of your reverb without ever losing the warmth and clarity that makes this digital reverb so iconic.

Flavor every track with the 80s studio sound
Bettermaker BM60 is great at adding thickness, color, and atmosphere to individual tracks, especially drums, vocals, and guitars. Its ultra-low CPU usage makes it easy to use it all over your session. A must for anyone into the 80s revival. BM60 adds instant 80s texture to your mix, from subtle flavors to drenched long-tail reverb just asking for a gate.

I'm getting clicks when running this on a big and strong Win 10 machine pulling 20% of capacity. Too bad. I'll see if pushing the latency will change this annoyance when I get back to it.

it runs at Zero Latency with 2.3% of my CPU power here. For comparison Relab 480 (2.5%), Lexicon Native (0.8%), Arturia 224 (10%), Valhalla VintageVerb (0.9%). 48kHz, 64 Buffer Size.

Overall it's pretty efficient considering they (claimed) emulated the input stage.

Wave Alchemy Pulse sounds richer IMO.
This needs some CPU optimization too.
If you just keep playing, one day you'll have mastered the game.

I keep hearing that from people.
I'm running the legit version and the CPU usage is next to nothing.
What are your specs?

I can not get Valhalla to sound anything like this bmg60 is a shorter tail, It is very dense and think, Im very impressed, shame its not a bit CPU lighter.

oh there's a few trick. Most of algo in VintageVerb are built based on Lexicon units. Room, Plate, Concert Hall, Random Space (480 Rhall) and the newest Chamber 1979 (224XL) , Hall 84 (Model 200) to name a few which ranged from early to late 80s Lexicon models. To get it to sound like the PCM60. First need to make the reverb engine work at 22050 sample rate and 16Bit, which is on 1970 selection for COLOR. The modulation also need to be disabled because tail modulation was only introduced for 480 model that was released 2 years after PCM60, also PCM60 was meant to be a simplified unit, no modulation in the engine. Now just play with Room and Plate MODE, it sounds like this plugin. SHAPE & ATTACK to control the character. Bass Mult is 1.5x High Freq dampening around 4.5kHz because PCM60 has a roll off starting from around that frequency.

I did that, it doesn't sound like the short room with eq bass and treble switch on. Vintage verb didnt have the density at all.

change the BassFreq & HighFreq (Damping section) to 2kHz or 3kHz will give you denser reverb that could simulate those buttons. With those 2 buttons engaged, the BM60/PCM60 is applying a Band Pass to the reverb.

That helped i came very close with these settings on Room but it still has a short pre flutter and also i cant change the width which hides that a bit, pretty close, but i think I will use bm60 even though its more cpu, It does sound a bit smoother or more natural .
Vintageverb ROOM = BM60 @ small(yellow) Short (green) bass & treb on 50% ducker.

Decay 0.58 s
HighFreq 3khz
Bass Freq 100hz
Bass Mult 1.58x
Shape & Attack 0%
Early & Late 0%
Mod 0%
HiCut very low at 940hz

oh okay. For VintageVerb, for as long as I've been using it, I learn along the way that for short reverb, the Hall or Concert Hall (or anything that meant for longer reverb) with a short decay time (0.6 to 1sec) tend to sound better than the Room or Ambience (algo for shorter reverb) algo.

EDIT : I've learned from Dan Worrall videos, the Lexicon Room/Plate algo mostly doesnt have modulation on the tails. The algo meant for longer reverb still have modulation for shorter time that's why it sounds better, to me at least. I think Valhalla managed to impressively reverse engineered it to (almost) perfection.
