Konktakt 8 will probably be announced around Q3 or Q4 of this year. They're already talking about it in the Native Instruments forums, but not giving too much away. Supposedly, they're adding to features to Kontakt that will go beyond sampling.

True... Kontakt 7 on release was already bad but at some point it got even worse. Just loading an instrument in an nvme is taking really long and I can't seem to fix it. And now, it's even more bloated than before. It's borderline trash.

Been having probs with 7.8.1.. it recognized all my libs in standalone but in the VST it shows some of the newer ones as demo and they're not in the rack. Hope this fixes it!

Mmmm, not in my case. Everithing works and all libraries recognized and not in demo. Did you check if the VST About in in demo? Sometime the patch fail and doesn't patch all as expected

don't know whats happening exactly with posters that experience absurd loading times but i always perform a batch re-save from the "file" menu after registering a new lib. Even on my crappy old hdd the loading times are ok. If i just register the lib and then choose the lib in kontakt without batch re-save then it's waiting time....

the more libaries you have the slower it gets to load. Bob is this correct or any other way around this unless they fixed this in next version? Most of my libaries are stored in HD so I am tempted to buy SSD but more costly of course and wondering if this would make a big differencce?

I'm having the same problem I had with the last release. It's recognizing newer libraries in the standalone, but they don't appear in the VST3, and if I go to open up the .nki in the VST, the instrument says "DEMO" and it doesn't work. Only happening with recent stuff like Schema Light. I did a clean install, updated the NativeAccess, too. Before I switch over to try one of the other releases, anyone have a possible fix?

This feature is not fixed, when I reopening still the new rack view.
I prefer the old view but i need to always adjust it manual.
