This sounds fab, just like the old amiga trackers I used back in the day.

Just purchased it, well worth 10 quid.

Thanks to the uploader for bringing this to my attention.

I bought it the other day, it appears to have no protection. Worth buying to support the Dev, only costs £12 (inc VAT).

agreeing with other commenters here. well worth the few bucks to support the dev. Its a super fun plugin, very simple, and sounds great. try it out and buy it if fits your workflow!

Thank you, it'll take me 3 years to save up to buy it here in Siberia.

Much appreciated.

Glad to see it here for the people who still can't afford it. However, it does not cost too much, so this time I'll support the dev. Big companies should re-check their numbers.

This is kinda cool but you can just load an 8bit sample into your DAW sampler. It will not magically transform into 16bit during loading, it will still be, and sound like 8bit. I've been using Amiga samples with the Bitwig sampler for years, it's the perfect tool for Amiga samples (better than Reason's Grain) and is probably better at looping those samples with xfade. Yeah, finding good loop points for those Amiga samples back in the day was always a challenge. Regardless, I love the novel value that this has.

Yes, of course there are workarounds, you can just carefully process and resample all the samples you want to use, then resample them in different cyclic stretch lengths and render them for example. The point of Amigo Sampler is making this whole process more convenient, flexible and accessible. You can use whatever sample you want, you don't have to be restricted to Ultimate Soundtracker samples for example, and you don't need to downsample and render samples whenever you feel like trying them at different sample rates.

Loading Amiga samples into the Bitwig sampler is not a workaround, it's a stock device and as convenient and efficient as it gets. And as is, it can do way more than Amigo. On top of that you have access to the vast modulation universe of Bitwig.
Honestly I am not trying to crap on this thing but as a guy who made music on the Amiga from 1988 and onward, this thing has a novel value at best.

I can't say if the Paula DAC emulation in this plugin is well implemented but if it is I'd say it's worth way more than novel value and still something you can't do in Bitwig without resorting to resampling and using third party plugins.

better than serato sampler when it comes to chopping breaks. Hell the polyphonic mode with chord memory isnt even a feature on many samplers... The bitwig sampler has all the cpabilities this plugin does? the phase change, stretch, chord memory, autoslice etc??

Cheers! I also use bitwig, and i do love their sampler. But you can do a lot of the same things with amigo inside bitwig. You can still modulate all the parameters . You can still use multiple voices, etc.

I love bitwig sampler and of course its more robust, but the things that amigo does is unique to amigo. Using inside bitwig is even better!

now dev is calculating by the number of views how many sales he lost ...
If you want to supply something, you can. PM is open for that.

It would be quite the jump to conclude without a shadow of doubt that all the people that visualized this release aren't really going to buy the product. I hope they're smarter than that.

purchased!!, I hope that in future updates it has stereo mode.
  Member 25.02.2024 1 8

Unfortunately, no stereo and no upped sample rate as stated by the developer on KVR. He is calling upon purist bullshit like staying true to the Amiga lo-fi mono flavor, but at the same time he incorporated the Akai stretch algorithm into it. A shame, really.

Edit:
No stereo, no upped bit rate, however the maximum samplerate will be boosted to 33kHz.
  Member 2.02.2022 80

I wouldnt say that staying true is bullshit. Onehalf of the amigo team is a well known protracker jungle producer. They made this plugin to make it easy to make jungle music. Akai stretch fit a niche hole and fits perfectly for with this plugin and genre. stereo and uppled sample rate does not fit that.

Who is the well known producer behind it? Never heard of him/her
