that depends, you should block whatever other then Cosmos or studio rack traffic if you use these apps that require internet connection.

If you dont block anything that WAVES tris to connect with..
as all host addresses 127.00.1 then www.waves-central.com an anything else waves.com etc

Open up Terminal in /Applications/Utilities.
In the command line, type in "sudo nano /etc/hosts".
When asked, type your admin password.
In the screen that will appear, you’ll see the host database for your computer.
Using your down arrow, go to the bottom, right under where it says, "127.0.0.1 localhost".
Type in "127.0.0.1 hit ‘tab’, then enter facebook.com”.
On a new line, type in "127.0.0.1" hit ‘tab’, then enter www.facebook.com"; this is for extra measure.
Now, hold down Control + “O”. This will save the changes to the host database.
Hit “Return” and then Control + “X” to exit the screen.
Remove the existing cache by typing in "sudo dscacheutil -flushcache" in the command line, this refreshes the existing cache on the host database.
You should receive an “Unable to connect” error message when you go to Facebook.com now.
Now, back to doing something more productive…

Best app for incoming/outgoing traffic/connections control for macOS is (hands down) LuLu from Objective See. Can't recommend it enough! You can disable blocking temporarily and change blocking rules with a couple of clicks, and it stays in the menu bar for you to easily access it. And it's completely free!

I just got done with tossing out 75% of the Waves plugins I never use.
Their old plugins never seem to go away or improve.

I can't get it out of demo mode either! How do i generate licenses? Step 6 in the instructions included says "Apply patch". There is an installer in a folder named "patch" that installs "waves license engine" but that is a .bundle file with nothing i seem to be able to use in it. What do they mean by "apply patch"?

I tried blocking the host address using the method above but it didn't change anything.

you have to completely un install waves, you dont indicate what OS your using so its that simple, clean un install based on how ever you can with your current system

I have been able to install everything, but I have not been able to get Super Rack Performer to work.
I get the following error: "Session load failure. Failed to load the session. The session is corrupted or incompatible".
Do you know how to fix it... I have tried several things and nothing. :(

everytime the waves central opens a second app call InstlHelperApplication my computer freezes. So i'm not able to get to the main page or do anything basically because its always opening this second app and freezing the process.

Any solution?

Waves really need to fix the issue of audio dropouts when using Soundgrid Studio with Apple Silicon for playback and recording.
Ridiculous that this is still not addressed in 2024. They have had 4-5 years and it's still listed as not fixed on their website. I feel bad for everyone who has an audio interface using Soundgrid Studio and Apple Silicon, which would be a LOT of people smh

It's crashing logic on api or CLA plugins need an update; I'm not sure why.

Bonjour, je suis sous ventura 13.6 sur mac studio M2.
je pense avoir suivi la procedure dans les moindres details, jai bloqué les hosts avec waves-central.com, cependant jai toujours la version de demo...je suis vraiment bloqué.
je viens de reinstaller un systeme ventura vierge et propre.toujours le meme souci
