Thanks for the update.

I never understood how to update Kontakt portable without loosing all my imported libraries.

If I uninstalll it and then reinstalled itwith the new version all my libraries disappear.

Don't uninstall. You need to copy the whole 'UserData' folder from your previous install to the new install, replacing the default 'UserData' folder of the new Kontakt version.
UserData contains the configuration information Kontakt Portable has for each of your installed libraries.
I don't know where your have your actual libraries, but they should of course not be in the same folder as your Kontakt Portable install. Put them anywhere else.

How to update Kontakt 7.xx PORTABLE to Kontakt 7.xx PORTABLE:

1. Run the installer KontaktPortable_v7xx.exe
2. Press the Browse... button and select the folder where the Kontakt 7.xx PORTABLE files are located: 3. Press the Extract button 4. When the Confirm file replace window appears , confirm the replacement of files (Press Yes to All )

If you want, as a precaution, you can make a backup copy of the current folder and then overwrite as indicated in the attached txt.

Did one ever have the issue that Kontakt 7 doesn't run in their DAW unless the Kontakt Standalone is running in the background?

I am using FL Studio here, and when I boot FL, and load Kontakt 7, it loads, and just stops. No crash, but FL shows me an empty plugin window where the Kontakt 7 interface is supposed to be. When I then open up the Kontakt 7 standalone exe, and then go back to FL and re-load the Kontakt 7 VST3 plugin, it works as expected and loads normally.

This is kind of weird, did evereyone ever come across this, and if yes, any advice on how to fix this?

If you experience black window, look into the "Helper" subfolder, run the "GUI Tweaker" and try to change the setting, e.g. to Mesa 3D.

Still cant get gui to scale automatically {eg gravity 2 } in cubase and nuendo. Am I missing something. Works fine in reaper!

Anyone getting "This instrument belongs to a library that is not installed currently" when trying to open an instrument previously registered with the library manager? I registered Fables, but it will give me that error when I try to open it in Kontakt. It's the only library that's given me this error.

Yes! I got it with the new Fracture Sounds freebie, and another new library (never had it before.)
I even tried registering it with the r2r library manager (which said it worked, but doesn't in this version.)
I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the included Library manager being v7.6, and this is Kontakt 7.8+? Maybe it needs updating for newer libraries?
