Only the beta. I'm guessing it will be around $200-300 when the official version is released. The plugin it is copying - Waves L1 - is $29 (although you have to pay for the yearly "upgrade plan" as with all Waves plugins).

My music workstation's not online, so no use for it. I wish these devs wouldn't require an online activation. If I get used to using a particular product, it would mean that when they stop supporting it, I should stop using it, as I won't be able to reinstall if I have a hardware/software upgrade. Free or no, it's just not worth my time.

And I would NEVER trust a developer who does this.

According to the devs, they're in the works creating an offline authorization method as well, with that feature already in the plugin authorization screen, just not as an actual option yet. Here's hoping...
That said, this is a very nice character limiter.
Also? They were previously iLOK, so hit'em up and thank them for throwing out PACE's bullshit legit-owner protection scheme.

Hope R2R will take a look at this. The added functions of the plugin seems cool. L1 is the same algo used for the MAXX BCL Limiter unit that loved by many mastering engineer for the "mid-pop" thingy. All of the components are available in a plugin format. I think the standard L2 is capable of doing it as well on the right settings. If anyone interested :
