Resizable interface. Simple "Bottom Right Corner Handle" to resize. 50% to 200%.

*Resizing Tip: When you duplicate plug-in, it will remember current state of GUI size. But if you load new instance, it will be opened at default size. To get rid of this issue, simply follow these steps;

1. Open plug-in for the first time

2. Resize GUI according to your screen resolution or you liking before setting any knobs

3. Save this state as default preset with your DAW

Now, you will be able to load new instances with same size.

(If you want to go default size, simply double click to resize handle.)

How this plugin compares with the other well known renditions of the pultec?

All AO plugins are sound like a dog's fart. They mess your transients, like something from 2006 based on SynthEdit. Check it yourself. Make a blind tests.

I haven't found that to be true at all. I own this one and use it all the time. I also own the UAD versions. They do sound different, this one being potentially much dirtier or growlier or something. I go back and forth between the two regularly, one will usually work better than the other on a track. For me it's worth having both.

As compared to the Waves version? That Waves one sounds a little weird by today's standards, AND it has that too familiar Waves sound that all their plugins seem to have. The Softube/Tube Tech version is ok but also not so great by modern standards. That one's more akin to the old UAD "Legacy" version.

I hope you're not serious, I have done 4 plugin comparisons with others, and they sound either better or similar the sound is really good in the end.

I should have read more carefully, I actually mistook this for the Noise Ash version. DUH.

Indeed this entire brand of plugins truly does suck, they all look like they'd be great but are really unusable!

The Noise Ash version is killer, UAD too. Go use those, they're legit. This one is garbage though.

well, here's a screenshot of a random percussion loop with heavy transient tested with Rare on a kinda extreme settings with everything on 7. something is probably wrong with your blind tests there mate.

screenshot

Orange is original track
Pink is rendered track
Rare settings below.

1. If your "mess your transients" means it slashes them off - not happening
2. If your "mess your transients" means smearing - also not happening
3. If your "mess your transients" means compression or some sort - nope, nada
It makes no sense to say you’re not good at it. It’s like saying, “I’m not good at being a monk.” You are either living as a monk or you’re not.

I don't use them much on my own projects, but I find them quite useful for teaching - students learn the basic principles on something they can DL and practice with at home any time. When their ears develop to the point of recognizing their limitations, they move on to more precise tools.

with this version here you can resize the plugins and the plugin size dropped from 7mb to 2.5mb but I noticed a longer loading time from the old version so I rolled back.

Ignite Amps pultec is better

Better in which regard? Just curious to know!

Saturation of Ignite Amp's emulation is more frequency-dependent which I much prefer. There's more saturation based on the band you boost rather than if you just put it through a soft clipper at the output stage. I think this is due to the parallel band setup, so essentially each band/boost is its own tube saturation.

technically that's not how Passive EQ works, that's more like every other non-passive (Active circuitry) EQs emulation. Pultec suppose to work as a tube-amplifier where the whole bandwidth soaked into the tube saturation before and after (in/out amplification stage) the EQ which is done subtractively with clever phase rotation doesn't matter it's a boost or cut on the EQ with close to no active component on the equalization stage. It's what made it famous.

Yeah it's subjective but liking an active EQ style saturation for an EQ emulation that suppose to be passive style is just.. hmm well it's up to one's taste but saying it better is just weird don't you think ?

The video shown in the video is of ignite amps tho & boz digital says it does it correctly. Perhaps my explanation of how it works is flawed but what I'm trying to get at is the "technically accurate" emulation most get wrong.
