My music computer is always offline, so thanks for that info (didn't see that point on their website). Saved me a 4GB+ download.
Edit: found it buried deep in the FAQ:
"Can I run BFD3 on a DAW with no Internet connection?"
"Yes, however, an internet connection is required for download, authorization, and reauthorization every 90 days."

Official License Manager has some serious problems. Really lame that offline authorization is full of bugs. Before you authorize, finish your legitimate authorization. This makes less problems for other offline authorization.

that's from R2R readme, so I guess their Patched/Keygen release works and you don't have to reauthorise whole thing again and again.

I´ve tried adding old BFD libraries and they don´t work (original ones with original serial) , has anybody had luck doing it?

old libraries works with BFD FXpansion, try FXpansion BFD3 v3.2.2.2 by R2R or newer FXpansion BFD3 v3.3.1.33 by V.R

It does not work without internet when first installed. It then works without internet.

Contrary to what I first read, it would seem this does have to go online to log in to your inMusic account, even to enable the free core library. After doing this in Reaper, then blocking all DAW access again, it has so far continued to work, even after quitting the DAW, reloading, then opening up a new instance of the BFD Player.


(...But for how long before it wants re-authorizing, I wonder?)

This will not load regular BFD3 libraries. It will, however, load the two currently available expansions for it - Dark Mahogany and London 70's - with more to come.

Old BFD3 plugin can load BFD expansions. This one however is not compatible with BFD3 expansions. It's a new different plugin with its own individual expansions.

but I cant tell if I hate more sound of those two free libraries or MT Power Drum Kit 2.
It sounds dull, flat, lifeless... FLAT, AF...
and I am talking for my preference, maybe to other is gold, for me by the demos, pure trash.
BFD 3 was somehow far better, and expansions were excellent.
Even this GUI I hate more than GUI in BFD3
which was for me like astrophysics compared to simple BFD 2.
Now I am starting to appreciated more and more Groove Agent 5, SD3, SSD, EZDrummer, Mixosaurus (but Mixosaurus is already in Groove Agent 5) and NI Drums...
I hope that upcoming Groove Agent 6 will give the Ultimate power to all those mentioned and give to us Mixosaurus B KIT ...

the player is free, yes, but the expansion packs are 30$ apiece. Cymbal sounds are atrocious and sound contrived. At any rate the player is free and not much good without the sample packs. This BFD thing (player or sample paks) is nothing that will pry any of my toontrax stuff out of my cold dead fingers anytime soon....

You can use BFD Player Core Library in BFD3 V.R.

BFD Player core library is ripped version of xxxxx BFD expansion.

London 70's BFD Player Expansion is ripped version of xxxxx BFD expansion.

Dark Mahogany BFD Player Expansion is ripped version of xxxxx BFD expansion.

You can load presets, kit pieces etc. in BFD3, you can do everything without BFD Player.
