Kick 2 is quite timebombey, eheh... So i'll stick with latest R2R which works flawless. No need for updating to this version really

Doesn't work for me anyway. Won't load in Ableton, Bitwig or Bluecat's patchwork. So yeah, back to R2R for me too.

Last Blitzkrieg release was working fine for me -- and it's convenient because it has all the DLC packs with it. But this one does nothing on my Win 7 machine.

then you do something wrong. Loads without any issues in Bluecat or S1.
But you should get rid of your completely obsolete OS and update to Win10 or 11.

Really? What could I possibly do wrong? I installed it. It didn't work. VST2 didn't work, VST3 didn't work.

Look, if you like that completely pox-ridden operating system that you run that exists solely to sell you junk and to keep track of your activity on Microsoft's behalf, you should carry on running it. Personally, I think they're dog excrement and use Windows 10 as little as possible, but you do you.

You WIndows update bores are almost as bad as the Mac/Linux crowd.

OK, I understand, you are afraid of being tracked your activities online and offline. Then first stop using your smartphone (I suppose you have one), it tracks all your activities online and offline. Also don't use any browser on your PC, also this one where you download and post comments from audioz. This is all tracked. Means stop using Internet.
There are ways to avoid being tracked, but you can't turn it off completely, regardless of the operating system you are using. Deal with it or disconnect completely from Internet.
So the main difference between my working Kick 2 and your not-working Kick 2 apparently is the operating system. On the other hand it should still work under Windows 7 according to system requirements on the homepage. I only can tell you Windows 10 and Bluecat as well as S1 latest versions all working.

I have been doing this kind if thing since getting my first copy of Nuendo circa 2005. H2O was great, but died out. Then, AiR ruled the scene. Installations and extractions are much more elegant than they used to be. Thank of for the .RAR format.

I have tried mamy teams and the best and most consistent has always been R2R. I get their stuff almost exclusively. You can rest assured that, if they spent the time to crack it, the software is most likely worth your time. And when time is important, the last thing you want to do is troubleshoot and jump through hoops trying to adhere to crazy installation instructions. None of that with R2R. Always as simple as possible.

Same here, although I might have a few years on you... as I remember Radium, Oxygen, Assign, in addition to H2O and Air. Although being older just means I hear less high frequencies at this point. ;)

Anyhow, I couldn't agree more that R2R belongs right up there with those Legendary groups and use them almost exclusively, unless they passed over a release (this, ANA, latest Serum, Audio Damage releases, etc).

For Kick2, the last R2R was v1.1.1 which does not have VST3 support. The last v1.1.5 from Blitz with the sound packs included and VST3 support worked fine. (many day-long sessions using it over the past few months, without any time bombs)

This v1.1.7 also seems to work fine, tested as a VST3, on Ableton Live, with Windows 11.
