Introducing KONTAKT Play Series: Three new instruments for the KONTAKT library, offering pristine, contemporary sound in a creative and streamlined interface. Wavetable synthesis module: Build hybrid instruments for entirely new sounds. Modulate your sound with additional new effects taken from MOD PACK; Choral, Flair, and Phasis. Drag and drop you own samples into instruments to use them with your own sounds and create one-of-a-kind results. Enhanced effects: Even more effects for your creations, for greater expression and realism

Are we going backwards to version 6 for some reason? Next v5 :)

Works like a charm. Thanks

works like a charm? Really? This would be a milestone as all previous version of K'd Ko0ntakt for Mac has usually involved quite a bit of groundwork- well, getting the libraries to function in K'd Kontakt

never had one problem with that.

Me, either. I think one release of v6 had issues early on (not due to being k'd, just buggy on NI's end) and they quickly issued an update. The k'd versions all worked like they were supposed to, at least for me.

I agree. My currently installed and operational version is 7.3.0 running on Mac OS Ventura 13.4 on an M1 Mac.

Didn't think about the case where this version is for folks running older versions of MacOS. Make sense to me now.

Whoa, wait ... I always thought v6 ended with v6.7.1 (which is what I run on Mojave and has worked out great). What's this?1?

it's just an update for people with older OS/macs.

As I assumed, but is it a recent update to v6? I vaguely remember there maybe being an update after v6.7.1 back in the day, but it was ... problematic somehow? Or everybody just skipped over it and went for v7? Either way, I'm trying this out, just a bit thrown by the fact that it's coming out now. Sadly, I can't find a changelog for it.

(Edit: in looking around for a changelog, I have discovered that this might be a bit of a scam on NI's part. It seems that the big change in this version is a little popup on the right hand side of the UI that reminds you that Kontakt 7 is available ... even if you already own 7 and just happen to be using v6 for older projects. I could be wrong, but there is no actual changelog available on NI's site, and it seems that everyone who has updated so far has the same complaint. So I'm not even sure this is necessary.)

I remain on the 6.7.0. It works perfect. I tried the 6.7.1 and for the first time in my Kontakt upd history I've got a library total mess, from Alicias Keys to all the others.
So I thought vers 6.7.0 is the last one that will survive forever on my old pre-Catalina..
