I have the greatest of respect to the V.R Team. Amazing stuff.

The only thing i don't quite understand, and maybe it's my own fault for missing or not understanding something, but for some reason i need to uninstall 2023.4-rev2, otherwise i get both 2023.4 and 2023.5 version shown in my installed apps. Equals 2x the size....?

Most often when you install a newer version of a release, it just installs over the old one....
But maybe someone can enlighten me if there some reghack or fix for this?

They are labeled differently so practically the pc perceives them as different apps.
However since they uninstall the same files, uninstalling an old version will mess with the new one. So the safest bet is to always uninstall and then install the new version for this and all the other reasons.

Can anyone do me a favour, and check, these Arturia plugins, actually work? I have tried with multiple releases. They play within the DAW, but are muted on a render. You may not be noticing, if you are using Arturia plugins alongside other plugins, in a subtle capacity. I tried with multiple plugins with obvious settings. The effect is removed. And whats the point in using them, otherwise?

lol, never happens even once for 3 4 years except one time when the REV Plate has volume issue which turns out to be the developer's mistake. Other than that everything renders perfectly. I would've know even how subtle the FX is because I have a habit of comparing the rendered version with the project to check the accuracy of the render few times before moving on. It would hit the meter differently if say 30 plugins suddenly just letting audio through especially compressors. I use that much Arturia FX on average per project.

Something is wrong with your installation I guess since it's been happening to only you. Do a full cleanup before trying again.

Thanks Stevie. I guess, i'll have to download, and give it another shot. I think other people, experienced similar issues, cause I got upvoted for my suggestion to try a render with an obvious setting. Though, they didn't actually get back to me.

Same here. I managed to get it working last time by changing a registry edit, but this time nothing seems to work. It's a shame as I already installed my old installation and now can't seem to find any working solution.

Anyone who has any tips on this would be much appreciated!!!

I don't know why I've been getting the "out of memory" error in all V.R releases. Does someone know how to fix it?

I got a solution for you'll after having the same issue.

When this "Out of Memory" thingy happens:


* Open Task Manager, Ctrl-Alt-Del, click Task Manager, click on "Processes".
* End the "Windows Explorer" process. If there's no "Windows Explorer" active just open "Windows Explorer" in your taskbar and end the process. Your desktop will lose its icons but do not worry.
* In your Task Manager click on "Run new task" and type "explorer" (without the ") and hit <enter>.
* Now run the installer and you'll be happy again.

didnt help

i fixed it before for another VR reales,
i was just closed MSI after butner than instal works no issue
but this time didnt help any method.

Out of memory error here also. JohnTheKlingon's suggestion didn't work.

Edit: something is wrong with the installation as I still had the previous release and it installed just fine.

I figured out the "out of memory" error on my system. Make sure to uninstall everything you need to before installing, that was my issue. There were a few other fixes I tried but none of them worked.

Spread the Word
