N4.5 is a VST, AAX and AU multi-effect plug-in that is able to emulate and replicate several types of expensive audio equipment, eliminating the need for costly and bulky hardware.

N4.5 emulates the character and personality of analog hardware with exacting accuracy, allowing you to emulate and replicate several types of expensive audio equipment, eliminating the need for costly and bulky studio hardware.

Experience the full power of our proprietary audio processing technology, based on Vectorial Volterra Kernels, and find out what Nebula technology can do for you! With over 350 bundled emulation presets, you'll be adding the warmth of analog to your digital mixes in no time at all.

The result of this sampling process is highly realistic, complex emulations of many types of audio signal processors, all rendered within N4 VST, AAX, or AU plug-in that is compatible with all major DAW's.

N4.5 features:

• Compatible with macOS Monterey on Apple Silicon.
• Engine updated.
• Minor bug fixes and minor improvements with no significant change in specification.

Note:
Despite the new designation (N4.5) the name of the N4 plugin will not change and it will remain compatible with all old projects where it was used.
The N4.5 designation is only used to recognize this latest update in the purchased page of Aquarius Desktop.

None of the files are patched, so expect the same level of performance as the original. Existing N4 users should rebuild their setups to run user-generated plugins on the latest engine.

This latest release is built upon N4 Player so it should be safer to use than previous release. No identifiable auth is included or required. In any case, legit users should avoid running Aquarius during testing.

Once again, you can easily access 3rd party libraries and support your favorite Nebula developers.

Highly ignorant question here... But.. One must own Nebula 4 in order to use these correct?

Its for librarys not the librarys themselves.

The title is a little deceptive. These aren't the external libraries themselves. This is actually Nebula 4.5. Its saying, "only for use with external libraries".

Yep.. exactly

Nothing wrong with title. External libraries simply meant those from 3rd party like Cupwise, TimP, AlexB etc, not Acustica’s own lib which is not ‘external’

There is nothing wrong with the title for those who are familiar with the product.
For those who are NOT familiar with it, it is a confusing title.

If you ARE familiar with the product, perhaps you are not fit to judge for those who are NOT familiar with it.

The ability to put oneself into the shoes of another / see things from another's point of view, is an important skill / ability when attempting to speak for all or make generalizations.

Do you have to install Aquarius to make the libraries work? forgive me could someone explain how and what is needed to install everything?

Some yes, some no. There are 2 types of libraries: Officially supported libraries (which you install via the Aquiarius app) and 3rd party libraries (which you download from their website and install manually).

If you open the Aquarius app then it will break this crack i'd imagine. So that means officially supported libraries are out the window for using on this release.

3rd party libraries should be fine to use because the installation for those is about as primitive as it gets - just manually put the files in the right folders yourself.

And that's what is meant in the title of this release when it says (External Libraries Only). They mean that only 3rd party libraries will work. They just phrased it weird

In all honestly the 3rd party libraries are the heart of N4 anyway, they're just as good if not better than the officially supported ones. In fact, 3rd party libraries are the reason i bought N4. I don't own any officially supported Acustica libraries even though i could if i wanted to. I bought 3rd party libraries exclusively

My favourite 3rd party dev is Tim Petherick. Google him. His compression tech is better than what Acustica themselves have come up with for their own plugins

Support the 3rd party devs where possible

There is no crack Acoustica simply control whats on your computer via Aquarius so if Aquarius finds a non legit Acustica product on your computer Acustica can see it.
And then they freeze your acoustica account so you cant download updates but everything you have purchaced still works.
So install this with that in mind

Yeah sort of and really shameful from Dev he also threaten to whipe out non legal users hardrive in a comment when the last Nebula was realesed here
  Resident 8.08.2019 2 147

That comment, if really made by dev, is totally out of line and legally not allowed.

It's good to know that dev threatens to build or already build in such mechanism in his software. When the software bugs out or his backend goes fubar and sends out false-positives, legal clients get toast. As stated earlier, the software has become a virus if it contains such functionality. Better keep away from this dev even if the plugins are good! Protecting by destroying is total bs. A war has started that way not that long a go.

I really don't like that mentality and thank God we've got R2R, V.R, MOCHA, TCD and lots and lots of other great minds to make things less destructive, also for legit users!

Could you explain how one goes about setting up the library? When you say simple manual install, is it as simple as pointing to library location? TIA

you need to install this software called nebula 4.5 in order to use only the third partie libraries( tim petheric,alexb,etc...) .this is Nebula 4,last update.
Software is like sex,it's better when it's free!

Should post Acustica Audio Nebula 4.5 first then this.. otherwise it's useless.. for most of us
  Resident 2.02.2017 432

This is the software, what they mean by "External Libraries Only"
is that you can only use it with libraries from other developers.
The title is ambiguous, I thought it was just the libraries at first too.

Oh wow! Never thought i'd see this here. That's huge. I wonder if we are gonna see other Acustica plugs? That'd be nifty

Nebula is awesome. I already bought it a couple of years ago, but it's one of the better things i own.

For anyone who's wondering what Nebula is: It's a host. You load it as an instance in your DAW and then you load/browse for "Nebula libraries" within it. Think of Nebula as like a Kontakt for FX plugins.

Some of the best compressors i own ITB are 3rd party Nebula libraries (i.e. devs who aren't associated or supported by Acustica, they just make stuff that works in Nebula. Similar to someone who makes instruments for Kontakt but they don't have a Native Instruments license).
The best 3rd party Nebula dev imo is Tim Petherick, aka "TimP". His compressors in particular are mint. They can be a little finnciky to dial in because the knobs are sensitive (little moves makes big changes) but when you find a sweet spot it's euphonic. He's a genius.
Check out his site here: https://www.timpetherick.co.uk/

^ The N4 libraries you buy there should work in this Nebula release (although i haven't tested myself).
Only officially supported Nebula libraries wont work in this release, because you need to download Aquarius to install them (which will break the crack because the app connects to the internet).
3rd party dev stuff is just a manual installation

Warning: Nebula is an absolute audio nerd rabbit hole. Don't bother if you haven't got time to research stuff. It does take some time to wrap your head around the ecosystem

Feel free to PM me if you have any specific questions

I guess the obvious question is, are there decent 3rd party libraries available for this baddie?!

For sure. The 3rd party libraries are the heart of N4. Tim Petherick's stuff is better than Acustica's stuff imo. Definitely a secret weapon of mine

Will Nebula3 Program Libraries work here?

Don't know. I personally never updated to 4.5, i still use 4.0 because i heard some 3rd party plugs weren't behaving the same as they were on 4.0 Dunno how true that is

Nebula3 era third party libraries (called presets) will work in Nebula 4/4.5.
But, there are reports of some not working with newer macs OS's.
I run macOS 10.13 and can load N3 era presets (AU) in N4/N4.5 with no problems.
