when I click on this one it just opens a dos prompt for a second and then closes. Still no idea how to install libraries with no installers as the .nicnt maker also shows up as a cutoff window for me that isn't resizable.

Same problem for me. I messaged Bobdule about that and he said it's a Windows scaling issue. You've gotta set windows scaling to 100% to use the nicnt maker.

I haven't tested it yet myself but thought i'd pass along the information

im on nuendo 12 by r2r and i extracted the iso file and then installed it also ran the Kontakt 7 Button Installer.exe but its not working l

like it doesn't even get recognized by nuendo nor does the standalone open

please help

To verify that "K7 Button Installer" is effectively installed:

1. Launch Kontakt standalone.
2. Click on "Manage Libraries"
3. Click on "Launch Native Access"

Clicking on this button doesn't launch the (useless) "Native Access" anymore but the Bobdule's Library scanner, just point it to the exact folder where you have installed all your samples libraries, let it work fully, quit and relaunch Kontakt, and voilà!

Your newly installed libs should now appear in the list.

if "Kontakt 7 button installer" actually doesn't work for you: try to launch it as admin (right-click on it, choose "Run this executable as Administrator")

Go into Options > Libraries and launch the Library Tool. Click add library and choose your folder. Voila.

unfortunately, this doesn't work with libraries that don't have a .nicnt file with them. And the generator doesn't run right on my computer (only the left 1/4 of the program shows so you can't actually do anything in it - have to open task manager to close it)

Those ninct files can be created. There's a tutorial on that on youtube and the sister site forum.
If you don't want to create those, open Files in the Kontakt Tab and navigate to the folder of the plugin and double-click the nki file.

i haven't tried the windows scaling yet to create the ninct files, but your suggestion at the end has already allowed me to manually select all the kontakt instruments I want to load and haven't been able to until now. Thanks so much!!!

That last version was buggy as an all heck, and I think it was that way out of the gate from the official factory. I also read (and before even that, looked myself based on provided patch info - that was cool!) what others have said about patches that didn't make sense and the reasons why. Hopefully that is all resolved. If not, then patience is a key. Bobdule rules in all he does, so - it is what it is, and thankful for the efforts for sure. If need be, I'm always available to try to get something sorted if it is causing frustrations or along those lines. Message any time as always, and cool to try this later on. Thanks BD!

It is an addon for Total Commander, and it is used to work with NKX files, if you don't use it you can delete it

Is anyone able to get the old Kontakt Player library Chris Hein Horns Compact (CHH Compact) to work with Kontakt 7? It was the only library that had "Demo" mode when I originally updated to 7, then after clearing it from the registry, it won't add back into the library at all. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Edit: Apparently this is a result of NI's decision to remove support from certain legacy libraries. Is there any way to force those old libraries to register and work currently?

I don't have that library, but your issue with re-adding it is found in the service center folder. Delete the .xml file corresponding to it here and re-install, for "easiest" way to fix it. Easy is different for different people in things like this. This is most "generic" way, least explanation or thinking.

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Native Instruments\Service Center
