Warmifier is a special audio effect AudioUnit, AAX, and VST plugin for professional sound and music production applications which processes audio signal in a way similar to analog tube equipment. By using Warmifier you can achieve analog “warming” and “console” coloration effects.

Applications

Tube warming effect
Tube preamp simulator
Console coloration simulator
Smooth harmonic enhancer
Stereo, 5.1 surround tube plugin

Warmifier is applicable both to the complete mixes and to the individual instrument tracks. You have several parameters at your disposal that allow you to control the strength and the coloration of the effect. Also, you have several tube types to choose from. Each tube type offers a different overall coloration.

While the effect of this plugin is definitely subtle, the difference it makes is similar to the difference in sound between various analog mixing consoles. In most cases it boils down to adding a subtle “sparkle”, “presence”, “warming”, or “solidifying” effect to a sound track the plugin was applied to.

Just install! If you copied old plugins to a different place than their default previously, delete them manually so you just have the new versions on your system.

This plugin has a nice sound and oversample but the manual sucks because they don't explain the behaviour of the tubes

You will have to go to 12voltvids channel on Youtube to learn about valves.

I am playing a bit by wording it that way (in an innocent, well-meaning way) but on the other hand, it's no-joke material too. Dave is on par with best peers, and if not, is the best electric/electronic repair engineer in the world. He plays bass (not actively all the time nowadays, I believe) and I am not entirely sure about this part, but I think he dabbles in guitar.

If this sort of thing is your thing, to all I mean, you don't know what you've been missing. The dude is an education all of himself. He is Canadian. Another Cannuck that is on this level is Carlson of Mr. Carlson's Lab (Paul. His name is, yes.)

Thanks for all the sharing, TCD, for the plug and the channel. As a common music producer is not that simple to go deep into valves modeling, i just know some tube equipments, but in general they are stacked up with tons of other electronics besides tubes. It's always good to learn more about music, sometimes better thank tweaking a plugin.
